Dear heavenly Father above heaven and earth it is through your son Christ Jesus/Yeshua we pray. Thank you for the hope you have given us through the life of your son. Please strengthen us and help us to do your will. So many of us have lost faith and many no longer believe. Is it any wonder the way we have been mislead and treated by those who lifted themselves up over us? Those who have stood in the place of Christ? Many of us have been cast off by our families and friends for no longer following self appointed men. We have been judged and called mentally diseased by those who claim to obey Christ. By those who claim to be our leaders and our mediators. Many have lost faith that you exist because the heart ache and pain they have been through. Please sustain all of us through this treacherous time on earth. Sometimes we feel so alone and especially on a night like this. We once worshiped in a way we no longer view as correct. Many of us now understand Jesus words when he said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other way, no religion, no men, only Jesus/Yeshua. He is our only leader as he told us and he leads us with Holy Spirit. We are sorry for trusting in men for so long. We see now where it has left us. We turn to you heavenly Father and your son to lead us. We pray that you give hope to those who have lost all hope. We pray that you give faith to those who have lost all faith. We pray that you comfort those who have given up and find the lost sheep. They have been beaten and abused. Called names equal to "despicable fools" by those who were over us. We have been lied to and cast off as worthless. Please heavenly Father, we pray for those who have persecuted us, we pray for those who have cast us off. We do not judge them or anyone as your son told us not to do. Please forgive all of us for our sins and bring us into your Kingdom where the rulers of this dark world will not be. We want your rulership, not mans. We trust in no man. We want your son Christ Jesus/Yeshua to rule over us forever. We remember this day and what you and your son have done for us. We partake of the bread and cup that Christ commanded us to partake of until he returns. We love you with all of our hearts and souls and ask that you please except our prayer in your sons name Christ Jesus/Yeshua.

Feeling a little weird today

hello everybody, so i've been out of the wt for almost a year now.

i did go to the memorial last year, but that was pretty much the last meeting i attended.

thing is, as a born-in, i have never missed one, this will be the first.. don't get me wrong, i have absolutely no desire to go back, but after all these years there's a weird feeling about it.

This will be the first one I miss at the KH too. However, I still believe in Christ and am closer to him than ever before. I did partake at home last time after being at the Hall with my wife. While at the Hall, I did not touch the emblems just to pass/reject them. That bothered me.

The question is, why would you go? For Jesus? For your family? Going to the memorial and passing on the emblems is NOT a command as you probably already know. Why do you really feel bad? You can observe this on your own and if you do believe in Jesus and want to follow him, you can partake by yourself.

Who do you think it is? The elders at the Kingdom Hall? If that is what you think them obey them. I have obeyed them and the GB for amost 50 years and where did it get me? Where did it get you? I am tired of the boy who cries wolf. The generation change was a total joke. I was not supposed to grow this old... You know the story.

So who are these ones "watching over our souls"? Back then in Pauls day that would have been easy to answer right? They were not called Jehovah's Witnesses we know that for sure. They were called "Christians" and "The Way". Today we have all kinds of different sects of Chritianity. Do any of them have 100% truth? That is impossible. so what percentage of truth do we expect? Honestly I do not think there is any "true" religion out there that has a patent on "the truth". JW's think they do but they have become known as false prophets world wide.

I think what you are asking is "who has the truth"/ "where are these people"? At Luke 18:18 Jesus said, "when the son of man comes, will he find the faith on earth?" Why did he ask this question? Honestly, I don't think he will find it like it was back then in the first century. You might find bits and pieces here and there... I believe there are those who have more truth than others. Read your bible and pray for holy spirit and try to find those you can agree with. Then if there are ones taking the lead you could follow them. Personally I don't want to take the chance... I don't trust men these days.... This is a different time is it not? I chose to follow my one leader Christ, he is my only leader.

1 John 2:27, " And as for YOU , the anointing that YOU received from him remains in YOU , and YOU do not need anyone to be teaching YOU ; but, as the anointing from him is teaching YOU about all things, and is true and is no lie, and just as it has taught YOU , remain in union with him." (NWT)
