I looked at Evans' twitter feed today. He has thousands of followers, apparently. But those who engage with him are an exceptionally low number. Earlier in this thread someone suggested (might even have been me) that he purchased one of the 'guaranteed followers' packages. Given the very low number who engage with him, this appears to be so. He is probably nearly bottomed out; I mean he's lost about as many followers and patrons as he will.
This isn't surprising since most of his loyal patrons seem to view morals as he does. A large number of ex-Witnesses did not leave for principle, but because they could not or would not live by the Bible's moral standards. They're Evans' fellow travelers. "Birds of a feather ..." and such.

My mom's library, now mine, has 103 different translations. Most have some interest, maybe excepting the Cotton Patch Bible.

Simple grammar verifies that God is meant. To whom does the possessive pronoun "his" [αὐτοῦ] refer? We must refer it to its immediate antecedent, God.

if instead of thailand, he had gone to a place where its legal and (supposedly) has some sort of oversight to prevent exploitation?

like nevada in the u.s or amsterdam in europe?

would the being unfaithful part still be a deal breaker as far as supporting his channel?

The initial question is farcical. State oversight of prostitution or not, he still cheated on his wife and bragged about it compounding the stupidity.

I like elements of the New World Translation. But my "go to" bible is "The Bible from 26 Translations."

The BBC is one of the worst media services. But occasionally they report something with minimal exaggeration.
