  Fatboi isn't the first x-Witness to crash and burn. But he's one of the most dramatic. Mom had a file on someone from Vancouver B. C. who suffered a similar fate, but back in the per-internet days. He sent out printed letters and sought to have the Society banned in Canada.

  Leaving the Watchtower does not mean one must leave good sense and morals. When that happens it's like a bounce back effect. I mean, they go from one extreme (the Watchtower) to another (morals, beliefs, etc.)

  Probably none of what I've written above makes a bit of sense. I need another coffee.

  Watching Lloyd deteriorate is fascinating. This would make an interesting basis for a dissertation. But, thankfully, I'm a historian and not a psychologist.

  U.K to remove time limit for Abuse Cases.

  at present the u.k has a preposterous rule that cases of csa can only be brought within three years of the victim turning 18.. this time limit meant that many cases did not go to court, as the poor victims did not feel able to talk about their ordeals at that age.

  the time limit of 3 years will be removed, at last, as was recommended by the independent inquiry in to csa back in 2022.. kim harrison, president of the association of personal injury lawyers, said the three-year deadline was "wholly inappropriate".. "it will now be the burden of defendants to prove that the passage of time has created an unfair trial, rather than on the victim or survivor to prove a fair trial is possible," she said.. j.w.

  paedophiles will now be brought to justice.

  Unlimited time is a great idea. Even if it makes Watchtower lawyers sweat.

  My only concern is conflating the actions of clergy with those of congregants. The media does not say a Baptist father abused his daughter and has been sentenced. The media should focus on Elders and other appointed individuals.

  American Primeval and the Mormons

  just finished season 1 on netflix.. holy crap, i had no idea of the history of the mormons!.

  i always thought they were like the jws, or the quakers, but they were full on fascists committing massacres.. i'm sure they are hating having more people be aware of their past, but i gotta say, it is more event-filled than the jw history..

  In my 3rd Great Grandmother's autobiography, she tells of warnings against Mormon violence as she and her family crossed the plains in 1854. Also she mentions something about Mormon violence in California. Interesting, but I've never followed up on it.
