I've read most of it, and I continue to read. When I finish it, I'll post my own comments here. I like what I've read. But then, since mom was coauthor, I'm a bit prejudice.

Hi everyone,
As Separate Identity v. 2, nears publication, it has generated some comments from advance readers, what writers tend to call "beta readers." One is posted to the history blog. This is from a Witness and reflects his point of view. I find it interesting, even if I do not agree with bits of it. You may want to read it. Mom and Bruce worked hard on this book to get it right, to tell an honest, full story. I think the person who posted this comment is uncomfortable with the honesty. But ... read it. Tell me what you think.

I do not see the distinction, except in the minds of Witnesses, between a Watchtower Elder and clergy. Two of my uncles are elders. They're nice men, but they do what clergy do. How is there a difference? Sorry for taking this a bit off topic.

What did Charles Taze Russell and the Bible Students believe?
by Pallbearer ini know that present-day jehovah's witnesses believe that 144,000 are to go to heaven and rule alongside jesus, and that the survivors of armageddon along with those who will be resurrected are to live on earth with the prospect of living here forever.. questions:.
> what did pastor russell and the bible students originally believe about the earth?.
> did they believe that the earth would always exist and that it would become a paradise?.

Thanks, Earnest. I've passed your notes onto Dr. Schulz for his consideration. He and my mom wrote this book, though the afterword is all his. Mom died and did not contribute to this essay.

Having a meeting in a rented hall does not indicate belief. I attended a lecture held in a Methodist Church. It wasn't a religious lecture. And I'm not a Methodist, but by your reasoning I must be one because I attended a lecture in their building.
I attended classes held in a Presbyterian church to receive a certification. By your reasoning, attending those classes in a Presbyterian church makes me a Presbyterian. This is nonsense.

You have reading comprehension problems. He plainly says he was never a Mason. He uses them as an illustration, plainly without knowing the details of Mason belief and practice. There are free courses in most cities, often offered by school districts of colleges for adults with reading comprehension problems. And there are online lectures on formal logic. You need both. Read this again. With your mind turned on.
