That was a bit of sarcasm on my part scratchme1010 but you are spot on with your points. They do use gossip and rumors to forward their agenda.

A brother repeated a "rumor" from the platform last night.
by NikL ini seem to remember many talks and articles in the past about repeating rumors.last night before going into the book study the conductor said something to the effect, "i heard a rumor and i don't know if it's true but the rumor is that in the future we will be using only;y videos at the door.".
anyone else heard this "rumor"?.
and whats up with repeating rumors from the platform?

Lots of great comments here and I disagree with some but most I agree with in-part at least but @ StephaneLaliberte...you summed up my feelings nicely.

I've been thinking about this for a while.
Did Jesus diee on a cross? Does it really matter? It doesn't change anything that I can see.
Is god a trinity? Again, who cares? Jesus still told us to pray to our heavenly father.
I think it is inevitable that we will never have the complete picture of spiritual things as long as we are physical beings. It seems to me people make mountains out of molehills over things we can't possibly know for certain in this life. At the end of the day the commands of Jesus...weather he was god incarnate or died on a cross stay the same.
What do you think?

A Beard Maverick
by EyesOpenHeartBroken inso i went to the kh for the first time in a month, and the first brother in our congregation has grown a full beard.
i am in a western u.s. semi-rural area in a cong with an extremely conservative and controlling elder body.
oddly enough, it seemed like people were going out of their way to converse with him and act like they didn't notice the beard or they complimented the beard.

We've got a couple in my hall too.
We are also in semi rural area in the western USA.
I was talking with a friend last night and he related a story of when that beard article was considered in his congregation, a young brother actually spoke up during the study and said something to the effect, "I don't understand all the fuss about facial hair...it's just another fashion trend and there is nothing un-scriptural about it".
My friend didn't know if this guy was talked to after the meeting but i am thinking he was :-)

1919 What???
by NikL ini had seen it before but never actually looked.. sure enough in july 15 2013 wt .... 17 in the past, we have stated in our publications that these last four references apply to jesus’ arriving, or coming, in 1918. as an example, take jesus’ statement about “the faithful and discreet slave.” (read matthew 24:45-47.
) we understood that the “arriving” mentioned in verse 46 was linked to the time when jesus came to inspect the spiritual condition of the anointed in 1918 and that the appointment of the slave over all the master’s belongings occurred in 1919.

A Perfect Life Isn't Worth Living?
by Sorry inthink of your favorite tv shows.
what do they all have in common?
the answer is they revolve around some type of problem or conflict.

It seems to me the Eden story of Adam and Eve is an allegory about people being unaware of themselves until Satan came into the picture and helped them to become self aware.
So humans were much like the dogs I have out in the yard. laying on the lawn all day doing what dogs do never getting bored because they don't have a concept of time or themselves.
I guess they are kinda dumb.
Maybe that's why the WT is dumbing everyone down. To prepare humans for paradise. :-)

UK Daily Mirror: Vampire Farms
by darkspilver infront page of today's daily mirror newspaper in the uk (26 january 2017).
vampire farms exposed: british meat in cruel horse hormone scandal as pregnant mares' blood is injected into pigs.
thousands of pregnant horses are kept on blood farms for fertility product which is then sold to uk vets and factory farmers to help increase production.

Hey dark,
is the Mirror a reliable news source?
We have the "enquirer" and several other tabloids in the states but they are so inaccurate in their reporting that it's more of a joke.
Do Brits take reporting in the Mirror, The Star, The Sun and the like seriously?
I've been wondering this for a while.

I sure like Rutherturds wheels though Finkelstein.
I would imagine that would be the equivalent of a Rolls or a Bentley by today's standards.
And they used to blast televangelists.
