  What do you guys think?

  so back in the olden days, (the 1980s) it was really frowned apon for a man and woman who are unmarried to be alone together without a chaperon.

  where i came from they probably carried it to the exreme but that's the way i understood it was supposed to be throughout the org.. i have been out for years, but my wife continues to be a faithful dublitron.. anyway, she cleans houses, and one of her clients is a recently widowed brother.

  i have come to find out that many times he is there when she cleans his house.

  It kind of bothers me but I can't really say why. If I persue the issue then knowing if this is still a big deal among the good folks in the troof would help me argue my point.

  Any thoughts are welcome.

  I posted a profile of a sister. I am a guy by the way. Anyhow, the picture I used was of a Penthouse Pet taken when she was signing autographs. It looks classy, nothing naughty. Well, I got over a hundred letters from "brothers" wanting to get together LOL. I think I must be the most popular girl on the site LOL.

  For those not familiar with Penthouse, it is a Porn mag in the USA. Their symbol is a styleised key. The lady in the photo I used had a necklace with that key. Severl guys commented on it one even being so bold as to talk about the key to his heart. God, most of the letters were almost offensive. I really understand some of what women have to deal with now LOL.

  I noticed that it says, " choosing to follow an independent course, we would be placing ourselves at odds with God’s unfolding purpose. This could endanger our peaceful relationship with Jehovah."

  It says it "could" endanger our " peaceful relationship with Jehovah."

  In the past, they would have said it definately would. No?

  reading the posts about the 2011-7-15 watchtower about mentally retarded apostates i foresee the following scenario:.

  1. congregational elders trying to get grip on non regular publishers and inactive witnesses.. 2. the good ones read in the watchtower that apostates are to find in the local congregation.

  3. inactives like me (i hate this name, but i use their language), and liberal witness like me, will be hunted, .

  What always struck me about the story is the TRUTH Satan told. He said their eyes would be opened up and they indeed were.

  The only reason they died was they were driven from the garden and weren't able to eat from the tree of life.

  Therefore it wasnt eating from the tree that killed them. It was God.

  Dedication of Kingdumb Hall?

  so my wife who is an active sister got an "invite" to the dedication of the new hall in our town.. apparently it's a big deal 'cuz some big whig from krooklyn is coming to deliver a talk, yada yada yada.. my question, why spend the bucks to fly some old geezer out to the west coast for a building dedication?

  is it not officially a kingdumb hall without his coming and having a big ceremony?.

  just curious about your thoughts..
