My brother just took me to see coheed and Cambria. I highly recommend those guys. Singer writes a comic called the Amory wars. All but one album is based on those comics. Progressive rock, story driven, far from stale. If you want music recommendations message me and I'll send you a list. Movie wise? I think its all regurgitated ideas and they got nothing new

3 years in the making
by Judgerussellford inthursday while i was at work, a new elder stopped by the house (almost 3 years after fading) to encourage us to go back to meetings.
said everyone misses us.
if you did, why not stop by and say hi every now and then?

I appreciate all the comments, and I apologize if I sounded rude. If you met me in person, the way I speak is completely different from my writing style. In writing I become a little more passionate in my words. And that is more for long haired gal because I feel like i came across as very rude to you and i apologize if i seemed that way to you.. everyone here just wants to make sure everyone here is safe from it all.. took most of us a long time to get away from it.. But to answer concerns and comments, I am 100% prepared for a JC. it would honestly be a relief I just wanted to put it off for the sake of my grandmas heart because she's a life member and will be in till she dies but I love her. I am aware that its to decide to do me or not and I'm fine with that. I'm happy with my life and if they don't want me in it thats thier loss. I'm far past being scared of people not liking me. High school was a long time ago and I dropped out of that too lol. As for the ones of you who won't ever meet up with them, good. They really don't deserve it or you. And its definitely a better route than I'm taking but I just got to close this chapter in my life. And yes I realize they're counting time and if they wasted 6 hours here talking to me its they're time wasted. As they want to plant seeds, so do I. Will it work? Probly not. But it is what it is. I was expecting this visit on Saturday but lo and behold, he never texted called or showed up! (Sigh) sooo still waiting. I will try to record it for everyone and throw it on my channel on YouTube. As soon as I delete my only 3 crappy videos I'll share the channel name and post it. But the other 3 are way to cringy to share to you guys lol. I do appreciate everybody's input though. I apologize again if I was rude at the start I did not meen to sound like that at all

Why shouldn't I allow it? Does shunning him make me better than them shunning us? I should think not. I'd rather spend my time treating them they way I wanted to be treated rather than sending the damaging emotional and mental torment they, as a whole, do. Maybe that would be fulfilling the letter Paul wrote when he said to heap firey coals on your enemies heads. Or maybe rather the words of the messiah himself, that we should continue loving our enemies. THEY don't, and thats why most of the folks like us hate them. They don't feel pity because of thier bloodthirsty, member hungry leaders. But I feel pity for these misguided folks. So why would I allow it? Because it should be allowed. Because we weren't allowed the decency of it. And I did not come to a forum to be told to do one of the very things we had happen to us, to the people who did it. Thats not how change is made. Not a single person on this earth was born wanting to be hated. Not me, you, anyone here, anyone there. Thats why there's so much animosity between us and them. I will not shun just as I have been shunned. No, I will not allow shunning of anyone who is not a murderer or sexual predator, in my home. And as an individual, this man is neither one of those things.

Thursday while I was at work, a new elder stopped by the house (almost 3 years after fading) to encourage us to go back to meetings. Said everyone misses us. If you did, why not stop by and say hi every now and then? So after that impromptu sheparding call, I was informed about it when I got home from work, contacted an elder and arranged a discussion with him today. I've been dreading this for almost 3 years, but I've had 3 years to prepare so wish me luck everyone. Its gonna be a long evening. Hopefully he comes alone though I very much doubt it

TV and the Media
by punkofnice ini look at tv and the media as all fiction.. i wonder if the media is now just a tool to cauterise the brain and zombify us?
i'm sure the uk's bbc does.
it seems to be a tool to brainwash people to buy into latest agenda or trend that must be followed.....or you're an outcast like a disfellowshipped one.

People at work don't even talk anymore hardly unless its us smokers outside. Everyone else is stuck in their stupid phones all the time its insane. Have you ever watched someone watch thier phone or a tv/computer? They're the most timid zombies we'll ever face. Its mesmerizing and creepy. I could do without, but then... stuff like this

I think I was once for foul language and drug use that I got reproved for (only found mentioning references in my Facebook posts never did pin me), but ours was always about finances, then the new hall was about gossip. Third hall I got df'd in a couple months in so didn't pay attention, and after reinstatement it went back to gossip in hall number 4.

Vienne----------Smiles----------Atlantis!
by Atlantis invienne:.
from time to time we do this vienne.
if grandpa wrote something that sounded uncomfortable or was too harsh, then you just let old grandpa apologize right up front with no questions asked.

Well said Atlantis. To grow as people and a community, we must recognize the faults that are our own, then fix them. One of those faults being that we are not in anyway infallible.

Should a Christian celebrate Christmas?
by Samsie inhello, i'm new here and have woken up to the real truth concerning the org.
i'm sort of fading away at the moment.... i need help with something, i used to as a child celebrate christmas and have always had amazing memories of it (my husband hasn't as he was born into the org) but i gave it up when i learnt the "truth".
my interest was only in pleasing god and still is.

I gotta agree with most everyone. I don't because I hate all holidays. Waste of time money and energy to decorate cook and purchase things people don't like to impress people You don't like. My exleriance anyway. Besides the paganism in it, we all make our own choices and have our own account to pay before the father. So if you apply Roman's 12 2 to anything you have a question on then with proper research and study you will know how to worship with a clean conscience weather it agrees with anyone else or not based on the milk, or solid spiritual food you take in.

This is how desperate they are
by Anony Mous inso, back in the day, when you had an 'unruly child' and/or family members, your privileges were removed pretty much instantly right?
my entire childhood i had to hear about how me being bad in the hall or someone telling the elders about what's happening at our home, that's making it so my stepfather never gets or keeps appointments.
so always be good, don't tell anyone anything, so the men can become servants and elders and the women pioneers.. so i hear this about an elder family that pretty much broke apart.
-
Judgerussellford
And nkt only a shortage of members but the ones who stay won't want the workload that goes with the higher privileges. Thats an insane amount of work for a small group of men. I've only seen one hall dissolved and the only reason they were allowed to give was "not enough elders". That was back in 2008 or so in hermitage Missouri. 14 years ago or more they didn't have enough so I do believe that its worse now and their standards are dropping. Nkt gonna lie if they payed I might go be an elder or something. Acting has always been fun 🤣🤣

The wizards rules from the sword of truth series (the books).
- "People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they're afraid it might be true. Peoples' heads are full of knowledge, facts and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool."
- Wizard's First Rule, page 560[1]
- "The greatest harm can result from the best intentions."
- Stone of Tears, Chapter 63, page 886
- "Passion rules reason."
- Blood of the Fold, Chapter 43, page 360
- "There is magic in sincere forgiveness. Magic to heal. In forgiveness you grant, but more so in forgiveness you receive."
- Temple of the Winds, Chapter 41, page 318
- "Mind what people do, not only what they say, for deeds will betray a lie."
- Soul of the Fire, Chapter 28, page 205
- "The most important rule there is, the Wizard's Sixth Rule: the only sovereign you can allow to rule you is reason. The first law of reason is this: what exists, exists, what is, is and from this irreducible bedrock principle, all knowledge is built. It is the foundation from which life is embraced." — Richard
- Faith of the Fallen, Chapter 41, pages 459-60
- "Life is the future, not the past. The past can teach us, through experience, how to accomplish things in the future, comfort us with cherished memories, and provide the foundation of what has already been accomplished. But only the future holds life. To live in the past is to embrace what is dead. To live life to its fullest, each day must be created anew. As rational, thinking beings, we must use our intellect, not a blind devotion to what has come before, to make rational choices."
- The Pillars of Creation, Chapter 60, page 549
- "Talga Vassternich. Deserve Victory."
- Naked Empire, Chapter 61, page 626
- A contradiction cannot exist in reality. Not in part, nor in whole.
- Chainfire, Chapter 48, page 489
- "Willfully turning aside from the truth is treason to one's self."
- Phantom, Chapter 12, page 127
- "The rule of all rules. The rule unwritten." The Unwritten rule. Knowledge is earned not given.
- Confessor, Chapter 65, page 592
- You can destroy those who speak the truth, but you cannot destroy the truth itself.
- The Omen Machine, Chapter 70, page 446
- Life gives dimension to time.
- The Third Kingdom, Chapter 26, page 175.
- “There have always been those who hate, and there always will be.”
- Severed Souls, Chapter 47, page 306
- “In this world, everyone must die. None of us has any choice in that. Our choice is how we wish to live.”
- Warheart, Chapter 52, page 389 wizards first rule being my favorite
