  jw's claim to be god-fearing, faithful, spiritual people with a unique special personal relationship with god (jehovah).. yet, so much of what they do is just fro show, an outward appearance of holiness and faithfulness:.

  ) shunning- an organization-sanctioned shunning policy publicly "outs" the shunned and puts pressure on members to cary out the shunning.

  why is this necessary if they truly have faith in god and that he sees all and nothing is hidden from his view?

  i got upset and blurted this truth.

  seems kinda screwy that telling someone a truth could be wrong.

  I would be glad to give you a copy but first let me ask "Wasn't that magazine located in my locked glove box?" Another question "Are you possibly related to a person I read about in the 60s who was burgling a house and hid under the homeowners bed and when they heard her praying before bedtime he felt gods spirit flowing through him, but not enough to not steal her bible and then learn the truth and then years later he heard this sisters experience about having her bible stolen by a burglar and realized it was he who stole her bible and approcahed her during the intermission and they both ran at each other, in slow motion, and embraced each other slowly spinning while holding her up off the ground saying out loud "Sister, Sister, my lovely Sister, im one of you now!!" Were you related to that person or are you a made up story just like he was?

  Before your meeting buy some index cards and write certain JW phrases on them that you think he will say when you questions his

  involvment in a CULT.

  Then when he uses those phrases, just pull them out and show him that you knew that he would give that answer. Also possibly state that he might feel light headed and or angry even though you are 2 adults discussing an adult topic and how this is another "click" to show that he might be in a cult.

  I personally would use the phrase "High Control Group" initially. The thought I'm trying to share is to write down things ahead of time that you think he would say, to show him that "this is what members of HCG say" when they are asked if they are members of a HCG.

  I would also educate myself ahead of time with Steven Hassans definition of a Cult or HCG to show that it is not "specific beliefs" that determine of a person is in a HCG, since there are SO many varibles to consider, but that it is how the Group controls the individual.

  Look up the BITE model at Freedomofmind.com if you have not yet. I would also explain that it is not only religion, but business, political etc groups who use these same methods to "corral" their members.

  There is a thread somewhere, possibly here, where someone has taken the BITE model and compared it to the WTBTS methods so it makes it easy to see that the WTBTS is using the same methods used by other HCG.

  since joining this site and having my eyes opened,i find i'm now dealing with a lot of emotions that were suppressed.one being the passing of loved ones,in the org we were discouraged from showing proper emotions due to the fact that if you did you were considered weak since they the dearly departed were only sleeping.now im being bombarded with dreams of my loved ones that i,due to my brainwashing never had the emotional release that i should have had.i'm just wondering how others on this site are coping,and dealing with the fact that everything we was taught was false almost as a way to keep up under control,as we lost years and decades of time.i almost wish i keep my head and the sand and had taken the blue pill.what has helped you all deal with this ...new religion......no religion...etc.

  Why not find out what model CC machine the Borg is using and get one and have it programmed to send any swipes into an account set up

  to support sites like www.jwfacts.com www.jehovahswitnessrecovery.com and this one and then just go into the DC or CA with a suit

  and see how many dollars you could get before being shut down. I would love to see that on video.

  Any successful methods to discreetly reach out to someone who is studying?

  my father had me go with him to do a study, and the guy looked like he's a pretty smart guy, and he was asking legitimate questions that i had my own answers to, but of course i couldn't say them.. i'm wondering if anyone has successfully been able to convince/warn anyone that they're getting sucked into a cult.

  i wanted to just secretly slip him a note, but i'm always scared to do that from fear of the person throwing me under the bus.

  then i got the idea of sending him a text message from a number that can't be traced back to me.

  Think of all the wasted years of life you saved, you probably spent less than am hour formulating some info that saved some people from getting into a cult.

  You have his address to mail a letter to.

  What about typing a letter on a computer with JWFACTS.com, youtube channels (the non crazy ones) and also a special email account that you create from Gmail that you can use specifically to interact with this person. Then you can send specific answers to some questions he might have and also it would be easiser to send links to specific youtube videos. I would also let him know that if he mentions your interaction with him to the JW that he will be warned against looking at the info provided by you. I would in that warning insert a link to Freedomofmind.com (Steve Hassans site) that shows that the number one indicator that the group is a cult is if they do not want you talking to past members that are critical of the group. I would also send a link from that site that states that Jws are on his list of cult groups.
