for those of you who used to be jws, or who are active, if the society was in charge of the earth, how many people do you think you would have seen stoned during your lifetimes?
i realize some elders can be zealous about their work, but if they'd actually had administrative authority to have kh members stoned to death, how many elders did you know who would have been zealous enough to really order them?.
did you know any elders who would have ordered stonings, even if the condemned people had been willing to repent?.

When I read between the lines from that quote I see "We're chomping at the bit to kill us some apostates, if we were back in old times, the good ole days, I would be completely okay with killing me some apostates, family first of course"
So with this one pargraph, the WTBTS has flipped a switch on in the JWs heads that gives them the thumbs up and permission to murder those that call them out for trying to enslave us into a cult.
How screwed up is that?

I think that there was as Watchtower article that said something to the effect of " Mans law prevents us from killing apostates today, even though they my be our own family"

have some interesting info for you guys.
it seems my congregation boe has its own facebook account.
its deactivated but when issues on facebook arise they activate it to check out whats happeneing.. does something similar happen in other kingdom halls?.
What about a elders wife having a FB account? It would seem that this would fall under him not having control of his family.

so the local jc decided to df my girlfriend because of basically premarital sex.. she confessed few weeks back to the elders, and the judicial system had its wheels rolling.. they confronted her today, and eventually came to the conclusion described above.. .
she told them that she regretted our sexual acts, and that we wouldn't perform that kind of actions before we're married.. they talked with her about getting married etc.
a week before the jc.. now the reason they decided to df her was not the sexual acts itself, nor the lack of regret,.
This my your shot to get her to see that this is not gods organization.
There is a article written in 1952 , I think, where the WTBTS slams the Catholic Church for ex-communicating its members and goes on to say that it is based on paganism and is unscriptural to do this.

"i had an email from someone saying that after ww2, the jw's campaigned for and received financial compensation for the witnesses that died in the camps.
and that the monies were not used for the victims families.

so i'm still going to the meetings...my spouse is still very much active...however, after i learned ttabtt...i feel like such a hypocrite in reciting (commenting) the wt writings and teachings at the meetings...in your own experience...how did you handle this situation?...and if you did comment, what did you say?...i still go out to service, however, i only use the bible and do not distribute wt literature...so far nobody has said anything lol.... .

I have an idea, win win,..
Start practising you best monotone Robot Voice and get it to the point where it is slightly discernable where you sound more like a human with just a hint of a robotic voice. Then when you comment you can share your comment in that vasi robot human voice to show that anoyone participating in this is just basically a robot. lol
You could start EVERY comment off as "The correct answer, as taken verbatim from this article is,......."

I remember once many years ago someone saying that there are those that know the names of ALL the Presidents of the USA but do not know all the names of the GB.
So they were trying to get us to learn the names of the Gb at the time so there is some that hold them a little higher than they should.

I don't think that anyone can 'wake someone up" using that picture as it only is relative to those of us who have already woken up.
It borders, in my opinion, on subliminal to an extent. A way of reminding us that we do not have any REAL direct link to spirit creatures above and that if you want to recieve that reward sought after for decades, you gotta come through us, without having to actually vocalize that thought.
It's shows who each level answers to and also shows that the GB are the ultimate ones when it comes to us Earth bounders.
Also it shows that the GB is familiar with the old adage "Crap flows downhill"

What about the person who enters the party and assumes to take the seat at the head of the table next the host and the host has to tell the person that the seat was saved for someone else and he has to be asked to get up and move to a lower position. Happy is the person who takes the lower position and is asked to come to a higher position.
I see the GB did not get that memo.
