i think that it would be a great way to get some exposure on this topic and how the wtbts thats those that dedicated their lives to the wtbts only to be sent packing at a late age.

then someone can take the funds to one sp couple, possibly, and give it to them in honor of the apostates that know what is really happening.

I Don't WANT to donate money to the special pioneer but the upside is just to great to pass up.

Yea they may get 1000 dollars or whatever it is, but the publicity, if it is done right, could equate to so much more of a value to the EXJW cause.

No one wants to get a shot at a Doctors office, but the benefit sometimes outweighs the pain.

Cart witnessing! Dose this mean more accessibility to apostates?

i don't know if this has been talked about before but do you think that cart witnessing has made the r&f more accessible to apostates.

why i say this is because if you think of the d2d work the only way that i could make contact with a r&f member would be if they knocked on my door or i was fortunate enough to see them walking down the road, stopped them and began talking.

if it was known that i was an apostate my address would be recorded and no further visits made.. however with the carts it is a completely different story, and it is much harder to walk away particularly in a busy street in the full view of the public.

Talked to several on a trip to Washington DC in the last year.

I was not confrontational as I think that this would do more to drive them into the cult than to help them get out.

If you research "Street Epistemology" as a FB group it can help you with how a conversation could proceed to get the person to think using the Socratic method.

Yes the leverage of the public exposure to the still active Jws will help show that the evil exjws are not what they are being told we are.

Just have to pick an elder SP couple to help out and get some video of the person handing over the money and a short explanation as to why. "We've heard after 40 years of faithful service as a Special Pioneer you are being released from this duty. We also understand that the stipend of 1400 per month is not longer being taken care of and we understand that it takes a while to get back on your feet and we wanted to try to help out with this check"

If pulled off properly it could help many while at the same time take a jab at the GB /WTBTS for kicking them to the curb..

Special Pioneer Couple Living at a Kingdom Hall In Miami FL, get the dreaded Letter

just got a phone call from an older sister saying that a couple that got re-assigned from bethel 4 years ago to live at their kh apartment as special pioneers, just received a letter saying "as of january 2016, your special pioneer assignment will be discontinued".. they live in a south miami kh(snapper creek congregation).. this couple had only served in bethel for 15 years before they were sent out into the special pioneer work.

they are now in their mid 50's and the sister said that they have to find part time jobs to support themselves.. the older sister (does not have a pc or internet), says that the couple are just devastated!

It would be nice to start a "gofundme" campaign for those of the Special pioneers that have been given the boot.

We could pick this particular couple to help out while at the same time explaining what actually happened with all the others. Many have given their time, decades, to the WTBTS only to be kicked to the curb now that the money is tight. We could make this originate from those that have left, us, to show how we are still concerned for those trapped inside even though their own GB tosses them away.

Think about this,,... this could actually happen and the publicity would be great,...

wondering what to think...i'm recently divorced from my jw spouse ( i was never a jw).

we have a 11 year old son who is being forced to attend meetings and have all the beliefs that ex has.

i'm constantly being told what i should do and i'm supposed to go along with ex on whatever he says because apparently the "head of the family" continues after divorce in his world.

Should I associate with this person?

so there is a guy who wants me to associate with him.

but there are some strange things about him, such as:.

he hears "direction from unseen" forces.. he thinks the idea of slavery was ok.. he likes killing animals and splashing their blood around and making huge bonfires of carcasses smoke all day long.. he has one wife, or maybe two, but is ok with having lots of other sleeping partners as well.. he likes another person who slept with his own daughters.. he thinks women should be subservient and "keep their place".. he frowns on education.. he thinks killing in a war is ok if they deserve it...even babies should be killed.. he is often asking for money.. he thinks that pyramids foretell the future, and that only a few people can explain divine truths to him, except their explanations have changes many, many times...often contradicting other teachings.... etc..... get it?
