  Update on Detroit-Area Murder Suicide - Front Page Article

  this was on the front page of freep.com this morning - sadly there are some factual errors in this article that people will jump on (not allowed to go to college was in original article for instance - hopefully the reporter will correct it).

  interesting reading the comments below the article - all kinds of opinions.

  Pure speculation. Maybe she wanted to go back to the borg and feared what would happen to the rest at Armageddon when they pushed back. Then it makes sense in the crazy JW mindset

  I like the USA being united States, but the concept of states rights, which was big when abortion was a hot topic, is kind of ignored theses days. Abortion notwithstanding, I think we have lost sight of states rights as well as real statemanship.

  There is not even an attempt at any kind of dignity of respect in the political process.

  I saw a "debate" in Denmark and was reminded that some people have entirely topical conversations on issues and the only time politics were mentioned is as they were introduced In the discussion. No one went hollering about fake news, a previous administration or a failed candidate. That can still happen. Grown-up adults can still try to govern even when they have political differences. It was so refreshing.

  Would separating accomplish anything useful? With the clowns running this circus, I doubt it. They are no better than the inbred aristocracy that kept Europe warring for centuries.

  Forget the borg. This is a conversation to have with ex. If not resolved, it should be a conversation with an Atty and you should definitely bring up all the applicable dirt in the borg, your/her family and ex congregation. I think that your ex wife knowing that will happen might help her decide how to respond.

  The child protection issue in every way actually could impact this. WT is on record with their stance medically and regarding how they deal with abusers.

That should put any bethelite or JW in the position of FDS publicly, then keep the real power so far from public that the guys can play their mind games without anyone even imagining who is really running the show. Like the disembodied powers(computer) that be in "Logan's Run" remember the movie about the utopia that was really a dystopian nightmare? That's not unlike what the borg is.

  The official at the end called it a debate. The culture of the Netherlands seems very civil and focused on the issue at hand. can you imagine such a conversation the us? Theyd be blaming the Clinton or Bush administration for something unrelated 5 Minutes into it.

  heard much lately, about the fukushima nuclear disaster in japan?.

  that is until earlier today when i found this article from last year, with dr. helen caldicott discussing the chernobyl disaster and fukushima.

  Boyfriend force me to study the bible or no marriage

  my boyfriend, who is a disfellowshipped jehova's witness, asks me to study the bible for 3 months or he won't marry me (i'm a muslim woman).

  he loves me and really wants to marry me but he is doing a passive blackmailing: if i don't study for 3 months, 1 time per week, in my home country, and without him, there will be no marriage... as a muslim, i believe the bible is god's word so i look at the bible from time to time and would be happy to study with him.

  but the fact that he is kind of saying "study the bible or bye bye no marriage" is really hurtful.

  This guy is not a good match for you or likely anyone right now. He is manipulating and mean. Your family might well accept your choice of husband-but his will not accept you if you show interest and then reject their faith.

  Do you have family? With a good education, I encourage you to stay in a community that you are familiar with. You will get more respect in a respectable Muslim family that JW family. JWs would discourage your children from education.

  The invocation of a famous defence lawyer is interesting, as we know that defence lawyers are not there to provide evidence of truth, but they are there to discredit any facts brought by the prosecution. The LACK of evidence is what both sides face in this debate, 2000+ years after the putative facts happened, or didn't happen.
