  Let's see...

  Newly diagnosed diabetic (type 2) , blood sugar going up and down. Hypothyroidism(also affected by blood sugar going up and down) and just found out I have bone spurs on my spine and neck. Everyday is an adventure

  I watched all the episodes ( don't know what that says about me or my tv viewing) but I thought it was a great show, always different not the same old , same old. I always said Justin reminded me of they guy on the simpsons too. Kelly clearly had a better voice. A guy I work with said that he heard that Justin wasn't exactly as new to showbiz as he let on , he said Samuel L Jackson was his uncle and that his dad had dated one of the Pointer Sisters. I am not 100 % certain on this but that is what I heard. Either way I loved the show.

  i fortunately was never able to have a bible study grow all the way to the point of baptism.

  but for those of you who did, do you feel guilty about bringing another person into what i think of as a cult?

  I had two bible studies, one stopped on her own thank goodness, the other I ended when I caught her screwing around with my then husband----- a fine brother reaching out for priviledges....he was reaching out for something I guess!

  puts plugs in his ears from the start.. now, it don't seem to be my imagination, but many ladies for some inexplicable reason seem a tad unreasonable at least once a month where anything i do seems to be wrong in their eyes.

  most ruddy irksome it is from a guys point of view i can tell ee.

  here we are, quite happy in our own right, say something to this here balmpot, and wowwwwww irritable utterances just tumble forth with such degrees of unreasonableness tis almost funny to observe, but dare i laugh in their presence whilst she be in this most unpredictable of states?

  Possible Murder Suspect (You notice thats suspect not victim :)

  Guys honestly even though you have to deal with us during that time believe me us dealing with ourselves is tons worse. Our looks change, my husband can tell just by looking at me. Our hair refuses to cooperate. We can't sleep soundly and are so tired we can hardly hold up our head, not to mention cramps. To top it all off we literally walk around wanting to hurt someone, just not sure who or why or do we really care. So mentioning that we are crabby or moody just feeds the fire. Works best for me to be left alone.

  The Meeting Clothes I Left Behind

  this past weekend my husband and son and i went to stay with my jw in-laws.. it was a pleasant weekend.

  they were a little subdued this weekend, i think the assembly got to them and they seemed less open to discussing our feelings about the wt.. a very interesting thing happened as we packed to go on sunday morning.

  i was in the guest room folding clothes into our suitcase when my father-in-law tapped on the door.

  I look at pictures of my boys when they were all dressed up for meetings , ties and all when they were so young, just babes and I think about how utterly ridiculous we must have looked walking around in the Walmart on a hot summer day after meeting. Usually those pictures make me feel sad because it is so unnatural to see a little boy all confined in a suit and tie. I am so thankful that they don't have to do it anymore. My heart goes out to all witness kids.

  i respect bill and what he has accomplished, but i believe that attempts to control the march and the marchers, are misplaced -- even damaging for victims of abuse -- who have been controlled enough!.

  the last thing victims of abuse need is to be told to keep up appearances.

  Child molesting is such a horrible thing, I guess sometimes its hard to remember we are all on the same side. We are much stronger together than apart. There isn't a one of us who wouldn't like to make the WTS pay for all the wrongs we have suffered.This time is for the lambs

  An earlier comment said that a poster here had abuse victims at home and in his family unlike Bill Bowen. Not to lessen any of the horrible things that have happened to anyone but Bill Bowen has an abuse hotline ringing into his home and his family life 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. No , this is not Bill's family , nor his friends, he doesn't have to deal with any of it, he chooses to do it out of love out of concern.Bill and Shelia are normal everyday people, their kids go to school with my kids, they are just like you and me. Sometimes I think it gets forgotten they are not super heros, they work,they eat,they clean house,deal with kids just like us.There are very few of us who would be able to make the commitment they have made, I know I couldn't. To think or suggest they are doing this for any selfish reasons is ridiculous.

  The Pedophile Paradise

  the pedophile problem among the jws is very significant.

  over a year ago i made some extrapolations from a poll on jwd that conservatively suggested about 5,300 jw molesters in the usa, or about (1) jw pedophile for every (2) jw congregations in the united states.

  given that pedophiles molest many victims, at least 70 or more in their criminal careers by conservative estimates, this can add up to a lot of victims --- not all are necessarily jw victims --- but still the collective crimes of jw pedophiles would average over 370,000 victims.. since that time that over 5,000 victims have come forward to email, phone, and write letters to silentlambs --- as stated last night on connie chung/cnn.

  If you have a pediophile molesting 70 victims over his lifetime, or just molesting one victim repeatedly and it being covered up, it is still wrong. If one is molested 1 time, it is wrong. Huge numbers may be hard to accept and people have the tendancy to say, "they are exaggerating" but lets face it, it is happening in the org. It is a pediophile paradise because whether 100 or 1000 have been molested, it has been covered up.

  I agree with you 100%. 2 of my kids were small when I left the org but my oldest went through all of the B.S.. He and I were talking one day and he told me how embarassed he used to feel and how all of his friends would tell him they felt sorry for him. He said some of his friends told him they weren't going to bring cupcakes anymore for their birthday because they felt bad that he couldn't have any. His teacher was a real gem and wouldn't let him leave the room, just made him sit and observe. There is no doubt in my mind I would have lost him at 18, if I had stayed in. Proudly all my kids will be donning their red,white and blue this Sept 11

  The WTS has always been crazy, we are just looking at it from the other side of the fence now.

  Now we see the craziness but when we were living in it every day, it was normal to us,it was our salvation.
