  this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.

  latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

  the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

  Yeah, I didn't mean to say all assemblies are going on, but at least one is, so far, as per the letter Kim read. It seems like it is a bit hands off... if the C.O.s want to do it, let them? IDK.

  They do seem to cancel things last minute; it's their bureaucracy of BOEs I assume. We have gone to at least two meetings back when we both were PIMI, just to find out they were cancelled (one was while we were driving to the meeting) and we didn't see the text, email, whatever. They assumed we got the message and didn't make sure anybody responded. They used to call and talk to a person, not anymore. Such love.

  Yesterday Kim Brooks read a letter about a circuit assembly or circuit assemblies NOT being cancelled. I assume it was in the U.S.A. So, Bethel has been closed since the 7th at least, but assemblies continue???

  Murderous blood guilty hypocrites.

  Yet another do as we say, not as we do.

  Greedy bastards still wanting their money making scheme to go on.

  There is a letter being posted on kingdom hall entrance doors saying to stay home an listen in if you are sick or immune compromised.

  Q. What has happened to all the need-greaters in China? Did they get out and go to quarantine? They would have to write letters to keep up with their hour requirement.

  No one is coming in my house. If my husband allows it somehow (and I doubt it), they will be sprayed down with disinfectant. That should keep 'em out. Actually, that should be 24/7/365 policy for JWs entering a house.

  "After each teeth brushing, I rinse and wipe the shank of the brush to remove most particulates, then spray the shank and bristles generously, after which I top the brush head with the plastic provided (Sonicare) cap."

  In the book Kiss Your Dentist Goodbye the good dentist advises to never store your toothbrush in a container, as the most important thing is to thoroughly dry it before using it again. A cap could re-infect and lengthens drying. She advises to have two or three toothbrushes and rotate them. One for morning, one for evening, and a third if you brush midday for this reason. I've heard her say it would be good to throw some Listerine on your toothbrush after you brush... but most important is thorough drying.

  She also advises against having them in the bathroom.

  She doesn't talk at all about getting new ones every 3 months...

  Baptisms exceeding 300K last year – a possible reason

  two facts to consider: 1) most baptisms take place during assemblies and conventions; 2) the theocratic year goes from september to august.

  my theory: the borg changed the calendar of conventions and assemblies so to concentrate the baptisms in a single theocratic year.

  if some conventions used to take place in july/august, for the 2018 series they moved them to september.

  Here's the reason: They crammed baptism or die down their throats. My MIL complained about the special talk being only about baptism, because it was! Also, isn't this the year they showed parents teaching their toddler(s) all about baptism in a WT study article? It was a year of getting all the kids that haven't been dunked yet.

  Someone in Washington has been setting fire to Kingdom Halls; it helps them feel persecuted. "Look how much they hate us! Just as Jesus said!" No one has been harmed to my knowledge, except for delaying their waking up process.

  BTW, the FBI is investigating, as they should.

  Is the FBI investigating the CSA problem? I don't think so, but who knows?

  Horrible people start burning down buildings; normal humans keep it to camp and bon fires. There are better ways to make a better cult, or tear down the cult.
