  i’m an elder who is pima, i’m amazed how much info is available to all elders.

  you can see all private details of every member of the congregation.

  i wonder how these sisters feel about their private details being available to these creepy elders?.

  If the 0rg can legally keep such information they will, and unless It's prevented by governments, the only other way would be for a great majority of JWs to not provide info, which would mean a loss of standing as exemplary, that is, no privileges and the possibility of marking. If it got to the point where so many refused that it became hard to find elders, minservs, and pioneers, it would take a while but eventually the 0rg would change policy That would take a long time, though, and abuses of privacy would continue in whatever form possible because that is how that Evil Slave in Warwick rolls.

  It's written to the GB but It's obviously written for people who believe vaccines were bad.If people believe they are bad then don't take them. I never heard of any elders asking to see an inoculation card for anyone.

  Book recommendation about Ancient Rome

  i've been reading a series of books about ancient rome, written in novel form but based on real people, dates and facts, itvhas been very eye opening as it creates a very real backdrop for the gospels and especially the letters to the congregations.

  they're by steven saylor, roma, empire and dominus.. below is a quote from dominus: .

  "reason means nothing when the worshippers are completely reliant on the revelations of the prophet.".

  Many years ago, I remember fondly, reading "Quo Vadis", "Ben Hur" and "The Etruscan" which were great fictional history books.

  The last days of the Jerusalem Temple worship came and went. It's a different age since then, I'd say. Check out the heavenly armies that Pliny and Josephus reported. Quite Apocalyptic.

  If you're wondering what some of those "separated" brothers are up to visit the http://ChristianBelieversConference.org and notice some of them separated from Russell in 1909, they separated over the New Covenant and Russell's weird belief that it was still future. They were joined by those opposed to Rutherford after the take over. They go by the name Free Bible Students and don't study any Watchtower publications, neither Russell's or Rutherford's books, and least of all the current JW publications, just the Bible. I found them on Wikipedia under Free Bible Students.

  Why do exJWs sign disassociation letters?

  by law, they ask you to sign to leave a society/organization when, by the same law, they do not ask you to sign to join it.. imagine being in court with a representative of the jws.. the judge asks you: "are you a jw?"..

  you could respond: "let them prove it!"..

  question: how would they prove it?

  When a publisher is baptized they need to publicly voice out agreement of recognition as one of JWs in association with the 0rganization. A person is usually there confirming the name on a sheet and counting how many take the dip.

  The August Study Watchtower: what is the big deal?

  i have been following a number of posts discussing the august watchtower study magazine.

  i really don't believe this common idea being passed around that it's being timed for the annual meeting.

  here's why.. the august watchtower will be available on servers not long before its public release.

  Those paragraphs are written using poor English grammar.

  The WT would have all sorts of editors catching grammatical mistakes as blatant as those in the three paragraphs supposedly from the August issue.

  I call b.s. on the content of the paragraphs since the wording can't be trusted. Unless LaFrancia translated from a foreign language version. Is that the case?

  Something is rotten and smells funky with those three paragraphs. Who cut the frommage? Maybe it was Lösch.
