It's been quite a year. Finally can move forward.

who would have ever thought that two watchtower drones would experience an awakening after child loss?

Thanks ToesUp. Thank you for all your kind advice and criticisms. I have threatened legal action like you had mentioned to those Elder bums if they ever mess with us or harass us again. This has worked like a charm!! We are in a limbo state, not DF'ed or DA'ed, just free to do what we choose.

This is the response they will get from us if ever they try to encroach on our freedom again!

Looking back at this journey that my wife and I took this last year has been quite life changing. Who would have ever thought that two Watchtower drones would experience an awakening after child loss? We can finally move forward since coming out to our family that we will no longer be Jehovah's Witnesses. Yes, we lost our family and our (conditional) friends, but what we have gained is far more exceeding.

Last night at our Compassionate Friends meeting that meets monthly as a support for those who lost children, someone commented that for the first time my wife no longer has that look of stress on her face. She is bubbly and happy again. Even in our conversations she is much more positive now. We have found many new friends amongst our grief groups, and our non-Witness family has opened up their arms to us after being away for almost 20 years!! Personally I am finally at peace, no longer feeling stressed about Watchtower mumbo-jumbo. No longer angry over the loss of our children. I look at their loss as a gift, they gave up their lives to give us back ours. I will always honor them for the love they showed me. Every day is their day, and I will try to live as they would want us to live, free and happy.

We have even been invited by a same-sex married couple to their church. This place is open and accepting to all, and that's the kind of people I want to learn from and be more like. While I cannot ignore the flaws the Bible contains I'd hope to learn principles that can guide us if we ever get blessed with living children. My hope is that they too will share our love for life and treat others above themselves.

With this in mind I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this message board for putting up with my bs this last year. Thank you for all the good advice. Thank you for being there during a very dark time. You will always be on my heart and mind as we continue to move forward.

so the wife and i were uninvited to another jw get together which we didn't want to go to anyways.

finally we find out that something on my facebook account is getting some people's in my old halls undies in a bunch.

so i was thinking of meeting with them to at least clear my wife's name and give them some much needed hell.

I wonder that myself Kairos. What will be more telling is what doctrine they will abandon. 1914? Blood transfusions? Two Witness rule?

This false religion is in for some big changes I imagine starting with the summer conventions or possible the big yearly thing they do.

What's frustrating about the paragraph in question is I showed it to my in-laws, asked them how Gods sole channel of communication to humans can be flawed and their response was,"their imperfect." I then asked them to show me one prophet of old that was wrong. They just gave me a blank stare.😂😂😂

Interesting considering we came out to the in-laws last night. This might reinforce their shun powers. How can a reasonable person feel it's ok to ignore a call from their flesh and blood? How sick.

We told them we want them in our lives, but we will not discuss Watchtower. We told them that "if" they still want us in their lives it's their decision. We told them that we will understand and not be angry if they shun us.

Thanks Searcher. I honestly think that each one needs to come to that critical point where they question Watchtower before they can have an awakening. I hope for their sake they do.

We told them that this leaving Watchtower stands us to gain nothing. We are losing all our (conditional) friends and family. But truth is truth. Watchtower isn't "truth" and what we know now makes it impossible to go back.

Thanks for the comments everyone. It is quite liberating as now we no longer need to hide. Our non witless family has been extremely supportive. This day was a good 8 months or so coming.

I really hope they wake up but only time will tell with that. I was considering just sending an email with the imperial bible dictionary and asking him to fact check "Jehovah" and "cross" and see for himself but I'm not sure if that will just cause more harm?? Either way the relationship we had with them was already strained and my wife was prepared for something like this.

They asked us what translation of the Bible we are reading and we told them NIV. They also asked us to try and pray and we honestly told them we don't know how to pray, considering we have been praying to a 12th century bc Canaanite Storm God all these years. They were kinda stone faced on that one. 😬
