CONGREGATION FLEECING RESULTS?
by The Searcher inhow much did your congregation and its bank account get taken for?
share your horror story!.

We had a deal with a few congregation who took out loans to help build/purchase a building for a new Hall. In total there was $450,000 in the bank as well as monthly donation promises. Some people even took out personal loans for $10,000 to get the ball rolling.
Then....... Well you all know what happened. Last I heard there is no word of a hall coming to the area. I think it's great!!! Not great that people lossed so much money but that people were so pissed that many have been dropping off the radar after that coupled with the new crappy meeting format. The hall I was at previously is in desperate need of repair but they can't get funds to do them because the LDC won't give the money, ( even know they took almost .5 million) and they can't save enough to get the funds due to the $5000 trick. They currently were paying an $800 monthly "loan" payment for work worldwide which was nearly double they had payed before the new arrangement .

Watchtower Nov 2016 - Instructions for Apostates
by Listener inthe november 2016 watchtower is now available and it has more new light but i can't quite figure out what they are saying.
it relates to when the jws were released from the captivity of babylon the great (false religion).
i am not attempting to discuss that in this post.

Amazing. I vaguely remember them saying that from 1917-1919 they were in some "spiritual darkness" and that the preaching work virtually stopped.
A 10 million tract campaign doesn't sound like a "virtually stopped" preaching activity.
They must have short memories.

How to Fade - The Basics!
by The Searcher inthis really works.
i've already applied the basics of this with one elder who "offered" us a shepherding visit.
we've been totally ignored since!!!

Employed these tactics and they work like a charm. It's a real game changer once you realize they have absolutely no power at all. You don't have to answer any of their questions. -

So are they changing the past now? I'm confused. I never heard of this 10 million tract campaign before. (Not that I really ever paid attention to Jw history.)

Amazing that the writing department can't see the irony of these articles as of late. The only conclusion is that someone writing this stuff is awake or just desperately dense.

God's name
by Gorbatchov infirst at all, there is a new marketing video of god's name, clearly saying the name of god is jehovah.. link: https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/vodbible/docid-502014331_1_video.
and then, there is the video with geoffrey jackson (gb) clearly saying that the original name of god is not known and the use of jehovah is because of it is the most used variant in english.. link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwv_8ocvkj8.
so, something contradicts here, isn't it?.

Jehovah is a catchphrase. It's simply a marketing tool for the organization. Without it they are nothing, a powerless invisible worst friend.

Deleted Elders?
by Farkel ini knew about elders being "deleted" and have commented what a strange and pejorative term that is, but it wasn't until "wtwizard" and "designs" commented on another thread about it that it actually hit home for me.. one cannot step down as an elder with any dignity!
elder's can't quit, with the word "quit" being as in "he quit his job.
" elder's can't resign as in "he resigned as chairman of the board for xyz corp.".

I've heard that term "deleted" used before on a number of occasions. My case was different.
They said that I was "no longer serving as an elder", possibly due to the circumstances behind it being perinatal loss. This was after many months of doing absolutely nothing in the congregation and missing many meetings. (They didn't know the real reason was that I had discovered TTATT and learned of the child sex abuse and rape cases in the Borg.)

As a Matter of Conscience, I Am Resigning from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses
by Sail Away inafter listening to the hearings of the australian royal commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse, i am no longer content to have simply walked away from the organization.
as a matter of conscience, i do not want my name linked with the organization in any way.
i know this letter has been posted previously, and i thank the author.

Thank you for the info you have provided. I'm going to use this as a basis for discussing why the wife and I no longer support and JW activities.
