They say it's "beautifully translated" just like they say the stupid convention this year was "beautiful" and " the best convention ever". They say a lot of things. Getting a cult persons point of view is useless at best. We all know the NWT13 is trash but you can't tell them that.

Revised New world translation in other languages
by TheWonderofYou ini think the translators are now very busy or even in the endspurt to present next year the editions in many other long expected languages like spanish, french, dutch, german...perhaps there will be even two spanish versions.. this will spark a new fire in the hearts of the publishers to go out and evangelize using the bible.
month to month a new translation is available on jw library app, like portoguese since july.
but they will not use the paper in door-to-door but the app.. insiders have already access to parts of many of those coming translations and are very happy with the translation comments like "really beautiful translated" are typical..

My heart's not in it
by What is Truth? inyou know how when your asked to talk about something your not interested in how annoying it is, or difficult to debate something from the opposite side of your view.
after learning ttatt i've come to regard the nonsense the org spouts as quite evil then to have to give parts about how great it is makes me hate it that much more.. story aside, what might you say to the elders to get them to dismiss it or get off your back if you told them your heart's not in it any more?.
not the obvious it's a stupid hypocritical cult that needs to be wiped from the face of the earth..

Go with severe depression. Worked like a charm for me. Although it took the dorks 6 months, they finally let me step down as an elder. (During those 6 months I didn't do a single assignment or comment at meetings either)😉

This generation will by no means pass away
by Darryl ingood morning i hope everyone is having a wonderful day.
there has been a lot of talk about the "new light" concerning the generation teaching.
it's been a major part of the prophecy concerning the last days and of course since jws are the only ones able to decipher and understand prophecy it is of great importance to get this main prophecy right.

Bro. Splane used a vague scripture with reference to Joseph to try and explain the overlapping generation thing. It makes no sense.
Genesis 50:22,23 states: 22 Joseph stayed in Egypt, along with all his father’s family. He lived a hundred and ten years 23 and saw the third generation of Ephraim’s children. Also the children of Makir son of Manasseh were placed at birth on Joseph’s knees.
So in 110 years Joseph saw 3 generations of Ephraim's children. That roughly makes a generation 36 years long. There is nothing biblically to support an "overlapping generation".
The generation Jesus was talking to in his prophecy saw all those things occur. There is no second fulfillment. And if there is, God has a lousy way of announcing it to the earth. The Jehovah's Witnesses preaching is a monumental failure. Surely if God was backing a group to save people he would do a better job than having them stand next to carts, silently waiting for someone foolish enough to approach them.

"Life is so hard!...tribulation and problems abound!" Persecution complex of witnesses.....
by stuckinarut2 inthe meeting this week is mind-blowing in the way it fuels the crippling "persecution complex" of witnesses!.
paragraph 1 set the theme with this gem:.
does it shock you that you can expect to face many tribulations before you gain the prize of everlasting life?

Agree 100%! I recently visited an old Jw friend and all they could talk about is how bad the world is. It's like food to these people. They have a beautiful house in one of the nicest neighborhoods in the tri-county area and all they do is bitch.
Sorry for hitting the dislike button. My fat thumbs.

I have no prblems with "new light"
by Doug Mason inthere is nothing wrong with accepting new ideas.
even apostle paul changed his mind when he "saw the light".
indeed, i hope to learn new things every day.

Accepting newlite not only tests the obedience of the sheeple but is also a gauge to see if a person is "keeping in step with the organization."
The chariot has wheels within the wheels so it's zigging and zagging all over the place. Even the bumbling idiots in charge can't keep up anymore.

Recent mistakes of the Governing Body contributing to the decline of JWs
by slimboyfat inthey have made so many strategical mistakes it's hard to keep track.
some changes within the last decade or so that are contributing to declining numbers of jws:.
1. elimination of book study groups, the most informal, enjoyable and sociable of the jw meetings, contributed to loss of sense of community among jws.. 2. policy of consolidating kingdom halls.
-
Darkknight757
I wouldn't be surprised if they find a reason to stop publishing the numbers. Any sign of decline would be an obvious sign of lacking Holy Spirit. (unless they spin last days stuff on it)
I wonder how people will react to the November 2016 study Watchtower? Now they can change history??!! It will be interesting to see.🤔

23. Notification by Secular Authorities: From time to time, secular authorities may in-form the elders that a sex offender is living in the area. The notice may provide the address of the individual and may state the nature of his criminal activity. In such a case, the elders should list that address on the appropriate congregation territory card as a “Do Not Call.”
Sounds like the authorities are doing more to protect children than Watchtower.
Putting a molester on the "Do Not Call List" doesn't protect children. They need to be warned. How dumb are they?

The Shunning truth is now out...
by babygirl30 ini have been df'd for 9yrs as of july 31 (yay me!).
so as i have written about previously in other posts, my whole family (parents + sister) made the choice to treat me as if i do not exist, and i have accepted it.
last summer they made a blatant show of it as our family reunion, in that they would walk right by me and not say one word...prompting our extended family to question their actions.
-
Darkknight757
Let us know how they respond please.
I'm sorry your family is treating you this way. Hopefully this shunning video will hit home with people and they can finally see how dangerous the JW religion is.

Rank & file are seeing the money-grubbing
by Zoos inspoke with a fellow apostate from my own area.
she and i bailed out about the same time and kept in touch.. she used to do secular work with one of the local elders in his cleaning business until she got dfed.
this same elder was one of the more profound dickheads on my reinstatement committee, before i turned around two years later and daed.. business required her to contact the elder on behalf of an old client.

At my former hall the big money grab shocked many into donating less each month. This coupled with the realization that a new hall was NOT coming made the monthly bills hard to pay before I left.
I remember them having to do a few local needs parts on the importance of donating specifically to the local Kingdom Hall. There were months that wealthy elders had to make a sizable donation to keep their end of the bills payed.
The doubling of the monthly "forever loan" didn't help either.
