is it still common for jws to go right up to a church to share their message?
one of my fb friends who's a pastor posted today about receiving a visit while he was in his office at his church.. can protestants likewise go up to kingdom halls to call on jws?
Any Catholic priest or protestant pastor could give JW's a run for their money,
I disagree. Most are not aware of enough details of what JWs believe, base this knowledge on outdated materials or doctrines the JWs are not even aware of, or come on too strong too fast. I am friends with several.

I would have said something about the fact that the Bible's message is LOVE not GUILT. Guilt is only a "short-term" motivator. LOVE is the only true motivation for serving God. Your attempting to put me on a guilt trip is discouraginga and depressing. Considering how long YOU'VE been in The Truth, and the fact that YOU'RE an [elder/ms/pioneer/etc], YOU should know that by now.
You should ask him, how do you think you will feel when you're 80 years old on your death bed, the new system isn't here, and you realize your religion was a lie?

Ignore every question you don't like and ask for something like his explanation of the new overlapping generation doctrine. Did Jehovah really give them the previous explanation? Why did Jehovah lie? If He didn't lie and they are spirit directed how did they get it wrong? How is that any different from Harold Camping changing his prediction to invisible after failure? Is Harold Camping spirit directed? How does he know that? etc..
Then stay on your chosen subject and keep him honest.
Every time he answers, ask yourself ...... "Did he really answer the question I asked?" If he didn't, point out his deception technique, tell him you are disappointed that he would try to deceive you in this manner, then ask the question again without rephasing it.
He needs to feel guilty for every sin he commits trying to fool you. Make him pay.

We miss you : Wow ,thanks ....but really NO one has called ,so excuse me if I find it hard to believe .
What is going on with you ,why are you missing the meetings : I have found it better for my emotional /mental well-being that I take a break from the KH .
Is there something keeping you from the Hall ? Is it work /worldly friends /blah blah blah : Sorry, but I can not even imagine discussing MY personal life with you .
Are you celebrating holidays ?: Again ,my personal life is none of your business and I can not even imagine discussing it with you .
We love you : Smile and nod ....
You don't want to disappoint your dead loved one do you ? : I have never been a disappointment to my Mother/Father . They really trusted that I knew what was best for myself .

HAHAHA Well if you try that you are on your own. I am never stepping foot into those buildings of evil again. While you are there grab some of the older literature that they haven't destroyed yet, and a Kingdom Interlinear Bible.

im a mormon now and have been one for the last 3 months.
at first i really liked it but now i am starting to have 2nd thoughts, i grew up as a jehovahs witness and was disfellowshiped at 19 i really started to look for a new church in july of this year.
i started out in a christian church which i really liked but i didnt understand the jesus as god thing/trinity.
or are they as correct as any other false religion?.

It is more about the details. Notice in this passage, there are 4 different results of judgement, not just 2.

He will cut him off and assign him a place with the unbelievers.
47 “The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. 48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.
As for the worst punishment, being cut off and assigned a place with the unbelievers, well... I don't believe that is a literal burning hell, but I have nothing concrete to offer you, just the understanding I have arrived at due to my relationship with the Lord.
