  This time of year I feel different

  it has been almost seven years (i can't believe it!

  ) since i left the jws.

  i am to the point where i don't really even think about it anymore.

  reneeisorym, your baby girl is what makes it worth the struggle. To me, your baby represents what the Watchtower hates the most about those who leave their cult, and its that life goes on without them.

  My 9 year old daughter has friends that she never had as a JW. Friends that my parents warned her against. Friends that giggle and hug and love. She never had this before. They are so sweet and cute together.

  My 4 year old Son is so excited every day-- he says that he is so excited! "Christmas is at our house!" He brags about our tree, talks about Santa (he watched two cartoons and now he is convinced, lol), marks the calendar... and today he bought and wrapped a present for his dad. So precious.

  You will have memories. You just get to make them yourself.

  God sent his right arm to us (Isaiah 53) in the form of a birthed human that contained all the fullness of God (Colossians 2:9).

  That is the magic of Christmas. Not Santa.

  Starting to read Crisis of Conscience....

  after almost 2 years of being wrongfully disfellowshipped and over a year after finding this site....i am starting to read crisis of conscience.

  i will not lie....i am a bit nervous as to what information i will find in the book.

  i have a strong feeling that i will end up crying through most of it as i will start to see the truth about the "truth".

  Confuzzled, I would like an update as well.

  The book was very depressing for me and I was already out. I had to put it down for several days at a time. I need to focus on the positive, not the negative. When that happened, I read the last chapter and looked up the scriptures.

  designs, first of all, I was not planning to stand with a sign, but rather ask the church across the street to post specific messages on their sign.

  We had a visit from a JW today.

  it was a woman from our old congo.

  we have our 9 foot christmas tree in the window.

  the blinds were closed, but we have one of those windows above a window, so if she was looking she saw it.. .
