Why are extraterrestrials pictured in ugly form in movies?
Ugly according to who? Humans? Who's to say that we aren't ugly from an extra terrestrial perspective?
Faulty reasoning.
You might want to brush up on these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fallacies

First law of thermodynamics vs God vs Big Bang
by EndofMysteries infirst law of thermodynamics, that energy cannot be created or destroyed but changed from one form to another.
how does that fit in with god and the big bang to you?
does it make one make more sense then the other to you?

Space-time conforms to the speed of light.
Take this example. Turn on your headlights of your car. Then, hypothetically accelerate your car close to the speed of light. The photons would leave the headlights. However to an outside observer of the car passing by, the vehicle would appear squished. However, the behavior of the light would appear undisturbed.
From the perspective of a passenger inside the car, the world around them would appear stretched.
Space-time conforms. It is relative to your perspective. Light remains constant.
I'm not a physicist, so I may be oversimplifying things, but this is the current understanding.
They're hard concepts to grasp, but they are mathematically sound and have been proven. (Gravity Probe B, synchronized atomic clocks not matching up after one travels through space, etc.)

How do Americans feel about Canadians and Britons interjecting their opinions onto hot localized political topics: gun laws, abortion, ect?
by adjusted knowledge inin addition to the above question, why do citizens of the two above mentioned countries, or other countries, feel the necessity to tell americans how they should interpret the american constitution for localized issues?.
i fairly much have an idea what the general population in the usa feels in regards to the first question.
this could be one of the possible reasons cnn piers morgan poor ratings and eventual firing.

In case y'all didn't realize it, I was being ironic in my earlier post. (Although I do love guns.)
everyone is entitled to their own opinion on any subject no matter where they're from or who the subject affects.

Hey man. Welcome.
I'm Still in though mentally awake. I Was born and raise in the Truth. 7 years of Full Time Service including Bethel. Former MS. On the verge of being recommended again though. (Was already told it was coming next CO visit.). I know it'll be very surprising to the elders when I turn it down.
For years I've been wanting to be reappointed. But now that I'm awake, that's when Holy Spirit decides to kick in? Goes to show its all BS.
If you haven't already, look into reading Crisis of Conscience. (Google "Crisis of Conscience PDF" and you'll find a free download.)
its an excellent book and helped to solidify all the feelings I had about the Truth.

JW Business Cards - Making a False Statement?
by The Searcher inon the business card, right next to the jw dot org logo, it distinctly says - tm.
when was this business empire granted the trademark for their "golden calf"?.
and if they haven't been granted it, aren't they breaking some law over there in the u.s.a.?.
-

As far as I know, the trademark application has not been awarded.
However, the TM designation has nothing to do with a registered trademark.
If the society's application had been awarded, the designation would not be TM, but it would be the circled "R."

A Question for Underground Apostates, How Many Are There?
by Village Idiot inwhen i first came to this forum i was of the belief that those of us who were still in due to family reasons were few in numbers perhaps one in a thousand in the jws.
soon i came to the realization that there were many more.
we have dozens of posters here who are mentally out but still in.

A few years back, it was "en vogue" on reddit to troll the Mormon live chat and ask them how magnets work. Google "Mormon magnets" if you want a good laugh at their expense. -

Wouldn't Seventh Day Adventists be classified as Protestant? They probably grouped them in one of the protestant categories.
