and joined your ranks.... this means...youre talking about a people, that currently are pushing no sex till marriage.
that would end and join into the messages you currently push regarding youths and sex.
that would be sex, with condoms.
Dude, there is some JW hate on here, but not that much.
I think most of us would agree that if the Society was more transparent, progressive, open to debate and put protecting children above public relations then many of us would not be disillusioned and may very well still be in the truth.
The problem isn't Jehovah's Witnesses, it's the self-appointed Faithful and Discreet Slave.

I actually have 8 out of those 15 skills and learned them all on my own by buying books or on the job.
But I'd probably be making twice as much salary if I had gotten a degree.
the fact remains though that learning some or many of those skills doesn't require college or university.

Um, I know of plenty of great artists that didn't seek higher education.
I'm not knocking higher education, but you don't have to go to school to study art.
i've been reading many of the postings on this forum for a couplefew years, finally joined today.
i think reading cappytan, and others like that, compelled me to share, it seems i might have a bit of a different outcome than many i have read, perhaps it will be hopeful/helpful to someone.. i was a born-in, 3rd gen jw, my entire family (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and most all of my childhood friends) were in.
some dropped by the wayside as the years went on, but many stayed in, and if they didn't, they still acted/talked as if they believed it was "the truth" and it was their weaknesses/failings that made them stop attending.
Holy Cow AFreeBeliever, I love your outlook on spirituality.
It gives me hope that even though my core beliefs are being so challenged, I can always fall back on the grace of the Christ.
My biggest fear in this journey is losing my faith in a creator and Jesus altogether. Maybe I am a foolish dreamer, but I hope that I can hold on to that part of my faith, at the very least.
Again, thank you so much for sharing your journey.
i don't know why, but i put off getting a haircut way longer than i should.. i might go as long as 5 or 6 months between haircuts.. i desperately need a haircut.. what do you desperately need, but you've been putting it off?.
(disclaimer: minimus is going to be jealous.
this sort of question is his tradmark :).
What do I desperately NEED?
A Therapy and Psych visit. Like NOW. My current Doc's earliest available appointment was March 26.
What does my wife probably think I NEED?
A haircut. (haha)
i have recently joined the site.
i was just appointed an elder this summer.
i started discovering the ttatt (the truth about the truth) last year after putting a few things together myself concerning the leadership and then doing some research online.. i really enjoyed jwfacts.com, jwsurvey, and others.
Man. I love your story.
My Dad's an elder, and since I've woken up, I can't help but daydream that he really has woken up to TTATT, but is like you and is just staying in for the time being.
It's just a fanciful dream, not based on reality, but hey. I'm a JW. I'm used to fanciful dreams not based on reality.
is it possible for the site to display which members are currently logged in at any time ?
Are you talking about using Analytics to publicly display data, or just using it for analyzing visitor data for your own benefit?
Because, if it's the latter, it's a very simple matter to implement.
to all bodies of elders in the united states branch territory re: survey on use of printed publications .
dear brothers: .
the branch office is working on arrangements for the 2015 regional conventions.
Likely: What they will probably do is print out a special card with an access code or even release the access code verbally as part of the talk.
In order to download the publication, you must sign up for a JW.ORG account and give them your e-mail address, name and congregation.
That way, their Bethel hackers can cross reference the e-mail addresses with apostate website databases.
(I actually had a fear before signing up that this website was secretly run by the society to root out doubters and undercover apostates. I'm such a moron.)
so i started dating on the internet in june and have met some nice guys.
i have put in a few recent posts that i have a boyfriend and wanted to give an update.
things haven't worked out sadly.. i was seeing him for a couple of months we were having fun and then things tailed off after christmas.
KateWild,
Before I met my wife at the KH, I tried internet dating. JWs and non-JWs.
I kind of got disillusioned over it. As a JW, I guess I had a naive view of dating. I was looking for a mate. Every single person I met online was just looking to hook up, one night stand or "friends with benefits" kind of relationships.
That was 12 years ago, though.
In retrospect, I'm sure that's not how ALL folks on those sites were and as far as today, I can't speak to that. But that's sure what it seemed like.
