does anyone have any links to how the mormons (or ex mormons for that matter) view the changes that the wts has made over recent years, especially the growth of jw.org and characters like caleb & sophia?.

have they noticed?

do they see similarities?

@Roberto: They still call themselves Mormon here in the US. The main denomination's official name has been The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since around 1838. But there are other denominations that are also considered Mormon, but they are of a different organization.

If Judeo Christian values make people better, why is the U.S. that brags about being a Christian nation, leading the free world in the numbers they incarcerate?

Too lazy to Google. Is their lead per capita, or just in total?

Injected Buddhist teachings into Watchtower Study today

on the paragraph about meditation in today's study, i gave a comment about "meditating with a view towards mindfulness and awareness of the positive things in our lives.".

afterwards, about 8 people that i rarely talk to in the congregation came up and expressed how much they appreciated that point.. wanted to say, "thank the buddha.

" but didn't have the guts.

My JW MIL asked me to help her download a QR app to her iphone

she is entirely technically challenged, but of course, has been pushed into purchasing the newest ipad and newest iphone .. while attempting to see if she already had a qr app in the iphone ( she thought she might have but couldn't find it) i saw maybe 10 different jw apps on there!

this kind of stuff blows me away when such technologically challenged older people are now getting the latest and greatest ( much newer than anything i have) .

don't even really know how to use them properly or understand them very well sometimes.

insidetheKH: it is pretty awesome. Once the flock goes 100% digital, the society will be able to alter theocratic history at-will! No more pesky articles from yesteryear waking sheep up and creating apostates.

it would be a reminder of a covenant given to mankind in the form of a rainbow and it would represent all the other covenants.

joseph was to bring gods light into the world and reveal many hidden secrets and become great in the kingdom.

oh man....seriously mind numbing.. i can't bring myself to share too much of it all now.... but i just want to get out...... tell you all more soon about the manipulative trash..... .

when it comes to a simple matter of no longer believing the teachings of jw's, it appears to me that it's more common for the husband to make the first move to leave the religion.
