Charities
by noidea ini am employed with the federal government and we are a new branch so we are in the midst of setting up donations for charity to be donated through our paychecks.
anyway, i volunteered to be a coordinator for the cfc (combined federal campaign) in which i was encouraging people to give some out of their paycheck to a charity of their choice..i have to admit i had flashbacks of being in field service while doing this..lol
i will say that i asked a few jw's that worked there and they didn't give *knows where their money goes.

Lizard, I think you should give where you think it's doing the most help. There is nothing wrong with what you are giving. There is no set price that puts you in a category as being charitable it doesn't even have to monetary. With what you are doing you give of yourself everyday...nothing is more charitable then that. Xandria, I know what you mean. My x-husband was hired by a company that did that during their orientation they also used UnitedWay. They were told..you have been given this job with great pay and benefits..now you have to give back. I know that being a CFC Coordinator we were told to just see who wanted to give, we were told to make sure that if they did and it seemed to be a bit excessive to talk to the person and make sure that it wasn't going to make a hardship on them. No strong arm tactics. I guess the difference was we were receiving donations for as many as 1700 charities..when you had yours done it was just with one and that's why they were greedy about it.

I guess from all those years of being a dub. I wonder if she was thinking about some of the elders in our old cong when she was speaking of the evil spirits?They're Coming
As darkness falls I see the eyes of doom
come out of hiding to finish off the world
that is dying. The hearts of young children
are breaking and all love is fading. I can hear glass breaking as the evil sprits come
one by one, they're taking what they came
for, which is nothing more and nothing less

Because of my loyal dedication to my job I volunteered tonight to work an hour over to help screen a chartered flight (I work security at an airport check point) It was the Ducks (What eyecandy I saw).......I hated that I was the only one of two females to be working..yes, I had to pick my chin up off the floor talk about breaking out in a sweat. A tough job but someone had to do it.

Watchtower Attorneys Stumped
by jst2laws intoday, october 6, in manchester tennessee the court considered the motion to dismiss petitioned by the watchtower bible and tract society in the case of anderson vs watchtower.
during the hearing for the first time ever the watchtower attorneys were stumped, at a loss for words, silence in the courtroom for what seemed like a 'millennium'.
