Very difficult position - Please help

i've found myself in a very difficult position.

with the .com bust and the recession i am having a very difficult time finding work.

i have lived on savings and unemployment insurance for quite some time now, but im going to run out of savings at the end of this month.

yes sir ree bob tail, i had a big one.

i had four hours into my brand new job making $18.00 and hour which would have topped out at $25.00 in two months when i got this quezzy feeling in my chest and became light headed and weak kneed.

one of the girls looked out her office door and said, "do you need help?" raising my head off the the lumber pile i answered, "yes, i think i'm having a heart attack?" the pari-medics arrived within minutes ushered me to dessert spring critical care center in las vegas, nv.

Question for the musically inclined 'annointed'

what can i say...i love music.. revelations 14:3 talks about the 144,000 and how they sing a song that no one else can learn but them.. 3 and they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders.

no one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.

my question is....do the members of the 'annointed' class already know that song.

Classless American Behavior

i was watching the hockey game yesterday and i thought i heard 'booing' during canada's national anthem.

earlier in the week the same thing occurred during the raptor's playoff game.. as some are aware canada has been mourning and burying their 4 dead soldiers due to the incompetence of an american fighter pilot who dropped a bomb on them while they were carrying out training exercises.

flags are flying at half-mast as canadians try to make sense of such a careless mistake.. i find it hard to believe any civilized person would show such disrespect to another country to 'boo' them during their national anthem at any time, and more so during a time of mourning because of death caused directly by american hands.. i sincerely hope american media chastised their countrymen who showed such insensitive, classless, ignorant and disrespectful behavior to their neighbours.

Why the hell do I have this pathetic life?

i' so tired of this.

sometime, i'd just like to say goodbye cruel world but, it would be too easy to do this.

when i was in the borg, they were telling me that when someone go out of the org, he have a lot of problems and that's exactly what happen to me.

It's like one big roller coaster ride and no way to stop the ride.

The subject of your thread is what you have been programmed to think.

That reminds me of how the org. would compare the garbage a person takes in every day "rubbing elbows with the world..<g>

They said you had to combat that garbage with more studying..more meetings..& more service. The point is..you were told (brainwashed) into thinking that if you were to ever leave that you would be miserable and have a pathetic life. You at this point have to reverse that garbage you have taken in.

How long did that programming take? I'm sure it wasn't overnight.

Realize that to reverse your feelings is not going to happen over night either.

You have to try and erase all the closed minded mentality that you were dished out. You may never be able to completely free yourself of that conditioning. If not use that as your warning signal to not fall back into the clutches of mind control again. It's a powerful thing to be completly free of .. use it as reminder or protection and not look at it as a bad thing..It helps us to not make the same mistakes again.

Take the spare time that you have and use it in a way to your advantage..

Reach out to those that are hurting as you are.
Take the time and research the Org. and be firm in your convictions.
If a relationship with God is what you seek then show you want that. It wasn't till I woke up to things that I realized that I didn't even have a relationship with him..just an org.

There is so much to do not only for yourself but for others..extend your hand and reach for it.

If all else fails..and you are down..just open the members page...go to Naeblis name and read his threads works like a charm. {{{ }}}

Just know that you are not alone in your transition..I am not d'fed but since I stopped attending it's almost like I am.

You are among sooo many that are going through the same..When it gets down to it JW's don't even know what real friendship is. You can never be the person you truly are because you're afraid of saying or doing the wrong thing...They never counted to begin with.

You have to take it a day at a time and not worry about later..it will come. You will find the true meaning of friendship and it won't have the conditions with it.

Sometimes it might seem easier to go back to what you had because it's all you know. The thing is there wasn't anything there to begin with.

In the meantime..That is what this place is all about..I have met some very wonderful friends here. Friendships that i feel will last a life time. Friends that are there for me when I need to vent or air my problems..I am so much closer to these friends then what I had before. The best thing..they love me for me.

As far as looking and wondering who is a JW and who is not..don't bother..you are so above that now..They are the ones with the hang ups not you. Let them worry about who they think is or isn't df'ed..It's time for you to live and them to be continue being told how to.

Elders Counsel Nose Picker

the topic title sounds terrible, i know, but why mince words?.

in our local congregation rumor has it, in a conversation amongst a group of friends at a restaurant the other night, that the elders in a congregation in our district recently offered counsel to someone who practiced a very unsettling habit during meetings.

the sister used the words "flipping snot" to describe it.. you can well imagine the groans and loud exclamations of disgust at that dinner table upon hearing this unbelievable tale!
