"don't let the actions of imperfect me keep you away from the meetings"
"why punish Jehovah for something he/she did"
what saying made it all around the country?.
the ones that were passed around, word of mouth.. for example.
"donations basis proves jehovah is behind the work!".
"don't let the actions of imperfect me keep you away from the meetings"
"why punish Jehovah for something he/she did"
my reason for leaving or fading is because after actually reading the bible, i began to gain understanding and seeing everywhere what the bible teaches is not what jw's teach.
there is no need to bring up 'apostate' material, the history of jw's, etc, as that sets up a mental block (if you ever were a strong jw you may remember yourself it wouldn't work).
the foundation of the faith is that the bible is the final authority, the bible trumps everything, and that only jw's follow the bible everyone else twists it to their traditions and customs.
EndofMysteries...you do not need to reference Ezekiel to refute this passage from Revelation. If you look at the timeline according to WTS interpretation, this confrontation takes place after the 1000 years of Christ's reign. Ask any JW “where will the anointed including the earthly remnants be when this takes place” they will affirm that they will be in heaven with Christ all 144,000 of them. Yet, the scripture in Revelation says Satan encircle the camp of “The Holy Ones” It has always been my understanding that the Holy Ones refer to the anointed or heavenly class; that being the case how is it that Satan encircles their camp when supposedly they are all in heaven? I always have fun with this scripture, not to mention Matthew 19:28 where Jesus states that the ones sitting on the 12 thrones (anointed class) will judge the 12 tribes of Israel (also the anointed class) The WT have made feeble attempts to explain this one away!
coc was delivered this evenning and i will be jacking it the whole night.
i might write a review to refute ray's argument after the reading and btw, i will be away from here for some time.
let it begin.. .
AGuest...you misinterpreted my reply. I was not discouraging him from reading CofC, rather if he is really fixated on uncovering lies and "refuting" anyones words then he will have a much easier time doing this by scrutinizing the writings of The WT and not our dear departed friend Ray Franz.
to onthewayout, 00dad, cedars and other reknowned faders.
reports have reached patterson that faders are much more dangerous than those disfellowshipped.
their reasons for fading are no longer new to the gb.
If nothing else this thread gave many of us a good laugh! I mean this dude is so delusional it is hysterical...monitor those on telephone hook ups! Really! I know several people that get hooked up, put it on mute then go do something useful with their time. As if the GB gives a hoot about faders. In case you haven't noticed their mandate despite everything else is to harvest new recruits. They don't care about these people all they care about is gaining new recruits. I was an elder for many years with several congregations and bodies and the whole shepherding project is a dismal failure and the GB knows it and continues to ignore it (perhap some over zealous CO will try to infuse enthusiasm but it will last three years in the best case scenario)
You know nothing about any new measures or mandates. You are a generic no-name loser that is "full of empty speech and deception" and as you can see by all the replies-you are not fooling anybody.

Can I give you some advice mankkeli?
You are obviously on a mission to refute or undermine the words and testimony of Ray Franz. Why would you undertake such a difficult and daunting task? If you are fixated and determined on finding inconsistencies, lies and half-truths; then take the easy route and examine the annals of The Watchtower’s history, testimonies and publications. It is here that you will find no end to your insatiable desire to uncover the finest BS and verifiable web of lies to satisfy even your desires. Please take my advice-you will thank me later!
i wish i could scan it and get your thoughts.
it was a picture of a happy group of witnesses during a meeting for field service.
there was a. comment from a local high-horse-rider about a brother in the front row in the picture being disobedient.
I studied this photo and I have concluded that the reason his head is down is he is browing the comments on JWN using his iPad. Come on people this is so simple.
i believe today's witnesses lack zeal, resolve, "love" of the "truth"......just to name a few things.. years ago, witnesses were excited to knock on doors and tell people they were gonna die if they didn't accept paradise.. now, when you see jws in service, they all look zombied out.. it's a slowly dying religion that will last probably forever like an ancient rotted out tree..
Even socially allot has changed. I remember as a kid we ALWAYS had friends drop in on us and it seemed that we were very active on a social level. We were always invited out to someone’s home for dinner etc. I recall that in the summer we used to forego the Sunday meeting on occasion and would meet in Banff (Rocky Mountain Park) for a casual congregation Watchtower Study and then we all just enjoyed the rest of the day together. It did not take long for that to be annexed from our list of “fun” things to do. I also remember that even during the public talk it was not uncommon to have demo’s and interviews. Now everything is so regimented and there are procedures for everything. It has zapped the joy of what used to be a great social network. I agree with the comments that all the control measures exerted by the WTS have evaporated the joy and enthusiasm. Now they really do resemble the figurative BORG more than ever!

Cedars...my thoughts exactly! As soon as he asked I simply deflected and moved the conversation back to his challenge. It is also worthy to note that he spoke to me alone, so his counsel was not sanctioned by the body. I am curious if he decides to bring up the topic again if he will be alone. If he does, God help him as I will rip him apart! One for not having scriptural grounds to challenge me and second for not following normal protocol when offering counsel! Knowing him he will take this on his own as he is such a rouge elder. Now he can be deleted for a fouth time...what a farce!

Ding...it would not be the first time that I have done this. I challenged another elder over disparaging comments he made regarding non-believing or spiritually weak mates. I guess I get away with it because I served with the body for so long. I am planning my fade-exit strategy and can't wait for the last time I ever set foot in a Kingdumb Hall!
