Since its inception, this religion has been run by God intoxicated religious fanatics that are nothing more than FRAUDS, FAKERS and FUCK-UPS! Fuck them and their man made rules! If there is a HELL, I hope that every man that had any hand in directing this religion over the years is rotting and roasting there.
the difference is now blatantly obvious, older ones who went against direction of the gb and planned for retirement have relatively more comfortable lives.. those who trusted and followed gb direction never got further education or training, pioneered or spent most of their lives knocking on doors for free, making just enough to get by in a part time job.. if you followed direction from the gb then you thought the end was just around the corner so no need to plan for retirement.. now these ones have indeed got old which they were given the impression they never would.
they are a burden on others.
the state has to pay for them in their old age.
I don't know what the big deal is about all this retirement talk! Why the February 22,1961 AWAKE promised me that "...Armageddon. This war will come in the 20th century. It will come right on schedule...". page 8 paragraph 2
Oh wait! What...?!
the watchtower—study edition | september 2023. study article 39. let mildness be your strength.
11 if a workmate asks, for example, why we do not celebrate birthdays, consider: could he be wondering whether we are allowed to have a good time?
or might he feel that our position will dampen the company’s team spirit?
Jehovah's Witnesses aren't the only ones with a distaste for birthday celebrations:

Some of the same ridiculous arguments.

Jehovah's Witness logic:
You can't celebrate birthdays because there was a death involved.
But you MUST celebrate the Memorial because there was a death involved.
in the 70's a bethel elder told me that every morning in the 60's the paint and scaffold crew, (which was located on the 5th floor of building 4) would go up to the roof and walk around the perimeter on top of the ledge, which i doubt was more than 12" wide.
then they'd go render sacred service to jehovah..
NotFormer...if you really want to have your eyes opened about 'Bethel bosses', search here for stories posted by ex-Bethelites. Spiritual paradise it was not!
what happened to jehovah’s witness young men and why did it happen?______in the 1960s men of draft age were called upon to either serve in the military (during the vietnam war) or to comply with the alternate service option: serving in a hospital or community in need.. non-jehovah’s witnesses were faced with only one refusal: military service.jw boys and young men were instructed (in private) to refuse the alternate civilian service as well.
the superior authorities had made this exemption for people of conscience.the law was clear on this.
if we worked in a hospital community we would be free to go about our witnessing ministry - if we double-refused: we would languish in prison.a no-brainer to them.
Like Terry, my brother was counseled to refuse alternative service and to claim that it was his conscience that led him to come to this conclusion. He was to be remanded for prison in 1969 when he had an automobile accident during his lunch break that crippled him for life. He was still to be sent to prison when a federal magistrate decided that it wouldn't be in the governments best interests to imprison a disabled young man for 'draft dodging.'

Show some respect. He jumped.
my grandmother, an immigrant from austria, was.
two of my aunts, their husbands, both elders, various cousins and two of my sisters are witnesses.
so is my grand uncle.
What you are now observing is the unmasked reality of the majority of Jehovah's Witnesses 'secret person of the heart'.

governing body member samuel herd gives a symposium talk: love for jehovah in modern times at the 2023 annual meeting of jehovah's witnesses.
at the 11 minute mark of the symposium, we meet (100 year old) brother david buettell and his ( 98 year old wife) phylis.
Alan Flowers is one of the top three people I ever came across when I was a Bethelite that I carry utter contempt for to this day. There are not enough adjectives to describe what a boot licking, arrogant, self righteous, smug, sniveling company man that he was. And his wife is a carbon copy. She had an eye for the young brothers and I often thought that if given an 'opportunity' she would leave her husband in a heartbeat for a real man.
