Perhaps the second house is for renal income for Tony and his wife? That way Watchtower doesn't have to directly support them and they keep any financial transactions at 'arms length'.

Where is Tony?
by Athanasius inon february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.
a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.
in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

What If?
by peacefulpete inrecent news about beards is getting lots of attention.
it made me wonder if any guys will return to the church under the impression that 'so much has changed'.
back when, i knew a couple guys who were outspoken about beards, seeing it as an issue, and was never terribly moved by their viewpoint.

No I would not go back. If these things changed 50 years ago I'd think about it. Too many segments of my life have been ruined because of association with this religion since my childhood. (Born in essentially) At 68 years old, all I have to say is FUCK EM.

Best of luck. A friend of mine had a hip replacement over 15 years ago and she is still going strong at 74 years of age.

Shakespeare meets the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses:
"To beard or not to beard;
That is the question..."

Since its inception, this religion has been run by God intoxicated religious fanatics that are nothing more than FRAUDS, FAKERS and FUCK-UPS! Fuck them and their man made rules! If there is a HELL, I hope that every man that had any hand in directing this religion over the years is rotting and roasting there.

Retirement
by jehovaxx inthe difference is now blatantly obvious, older ones who went against direction of the gb and planned for retirement have relatively more comfortable lives.. those who trusted and followed gb direction never got further education or training, pioneered or spent most of their lives knocking on doors for free, making just enough to get by in a part time job.. if you followed direction from the gb then you thought the end was just around the corner so no need to plan for retirement.. now these ones have indeed got old which they were given the impression they never would.
they are a burden on others.
the state has to pay for them in their old age.

I don't know what the big deal is about all this retirement talk! Why the February 22,1961 AWAKE promised me that "...Armageddon. This war will come in the 20th century. It will come right on schedule...". page 8 paragraph 2
Oh wait! What...?!

The ''dreaded'' birthday cake
by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe watchtower—study edition | september 2023. study article 39. let mildness be your strength.
11 if a workmate asks, for example, why we do not celebrate birthdays, consider: could he be wondering whether we are allowed to have a good time?
or might he feel that our position will dampen the company’s team spirit?

Jehovah's Witnesses aren't the only ones with a distaste for birthday celebrations:

Some of the same ridiculous arguments.

Jehovah's Witness logic:
You can't celebrate birthdays because there was a death involved.
But you MUST celebrate the Memorial because there was a death involved.

BadAss Bethelites, did they really peak in the 1960's?
by was a new boy inin the 70's a bethel elder told me that every morning in the 60's the paint and scaffold crew, (which was located on the 5th floor of building 4) would go up to the roof and walk around the perimeter on top of the ledge, which i doubt was more than 12" wide.
then they'd go render sacred service to jehovah..
