it's incredible how this cover, and also this "series" of watchtower's is burned into my mind.

Find a copy of WATCH TOWER PUBLICATIONS INDEX 1930-1960. Turn to page 202. There you will find the heading 1914. Go to subheading Kingdom's establishment and under that heading you will find the subsection : prophecies pointing to event. You may read to your hearts content the information cited by going to the website JW-Wayback(dot)org. Indeed the Governing Body DOES consider the year 1914 as being based on Bible prophecy and as I showed you in my previous post they feel that they are the "faithful and discreet slave" to whom Jehovah reveals prophecy as it is unfolding. Twist yourself into a mental pretzel and do linguistic gymnastics all you want to continue to defend the lies of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. Just don't expect others to accept your viewpoint in the face of what the facts are.

No amount of mental gymnastics or abuse of language can hide the actual strident, forthright and dogmatic claims the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses has made over the years. The LIES are in print for all to read if they care to investigate. The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses is made up of FAKERS, FOOLS, FRAUDS and FUCK-UPS. Thus has it always been and thus shall it always be.

on february 22, 2023, anthony morris iii was officially removed from the governing body of jehovah's witnesses.

a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.

in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

Armageddon Car

how many of you bought a nice sedan, suv, or even a minivan back in the days that you described as your "armageddon car" that you would care for and it would last until the end arrived?.

i was driving a 1974 plymouth volare wagon in 1992 when i managed to get an 8-year old buick century.

it was low mileage and had a very luxurious interior.

An Armageddon car was a thing back in the day...sad but true. Every single car my family had since the late 1950's was an Armageddon car. My mother finally wised up in her '60's and bought herself a convertible because she had always wanted one. However, she remained a devout Witness. An ex-Hippie that I met back in 1976 after my return from Bethel had an old 2 door Ford Falcon that he had fixed up and dubbed his Armageddon car. He moved back to Maine to bring 'the good news' to his family and to try to save them from the coming destruction. Not one person in his family became a Witness and his Falcon is long gone to the junk heap. At 73 he has had more cars than I can count.

Sage advice from my god intoxicated religious fanatic Jehovah's Witness mother when I was around 8 years old in the 1960's: 'When (not if) the government takes you away from the family during persecution, don't let them force you to salute the flag. If you do, Jehovah will kill you at Armageddon and you will never see your family again.'

When JW.org drops 607BCE...

probably everyone else thought of this long ago, but i, being an "independent thunker" thunk of it just a coupla weeks ago.. we all know that since the year zero (on the fredfranzian calendar) the wtb&ts has defied archaeology and insisted that jerusalem was destroyed in 607 bce, even though the physical evidence shows that 587 bce is a more likely date.

in fact, the book "the gentile times reconsidered: have jehovah's witnesses been wrong all along about 607 bce?

" by carl olof jonsson and rud persson made this conversation public.. it is a difference of 20 years.
