  What Phizzy said above is absolutely true. Above all, remember those words of advise that Phizzy wrote in his post. Do not trust ANY of them with ANYTHING. They will turn you in and think that it's an act of love. They will tell you disfellowshipping and shunning is an act of LOVE.

  I'm going through the same thing as you. All I can say is if you want to keep associating with them for a while, just do the minimum required or what you feel comfortable with at the time.

  yes, it should be one of the biggest privileges a brother can get !!

  Yes, it should be one of the biggest privileges a brother can get !! (how do I put the barfy icon in?)

  It's what most active brothers in the organization are striving for. But, I'm sure not all brothers want the added work and responsibility that comes with the appointment. Long hours, meetings at the end of the meeting, and things like that.

  Anyone or know of anyone who just say "No Way"?

  there are still many people who think and act like him.

  of course, in today’s world, there are many extremes.

  Race relations will not improve as long as there are people who make a bundle of money off of racism.

  For example, the Media needs racism to get ratings, views, clicks, or to sell papers. They will do whatever it takes to further the divide.

  The so called poilitial leaders or so called "Reverends" that travel the country get paid every time they appear. And, they get paid well. They tell the people to "Call me for help". But if they are called, they want to get paid before they help. And often, they don't help, they just further the divide. They inflame emotions by telling people that racism lurks around every corner. So, if they are making a bundle of money, then why should they stop? they WANT racism because it is a great source of income for them.

  Sad part is that many people do believe that racism is everywhere. They are listening to these so called leaders that don't have the peoples best interests at heart when we as a people should be just talking to each other.

  (ramping up is an understatement lol) .

  i remember a few years ago, gb member brother herd mentioned during one of his talks that several witnesses were either reproved or disfellowshipped for voting for a certain presidential candidate who won...twice.

  Back in the day voting in any election from municipal preferences up to national level was considered a violation of neutrality and disfellowshippable offense

  TiKi. That’s exactly what I thought. Vote and be DF. I had no idea that at one time it could be a matter of conscience. I doubt it’s still that way now. I wonder if it still is?

  I remember a few years ago, GB member Brother Herd mentioned during one of his talks that several witnesses were either reproved or disfellowshipped for voting for a certain presidential candidate who won...twice. He said that the biggest reason or excuse they gave was ibecause they wanted to be part of history.

  I personally know of one former sister that mentioned to me that (even though she is now disassociated) she has voted in every presidential election since Kennedy, even though she was a witness for about 20 years during that time

  Is it possible that more witnesses secretly vote In elections? Could it be a lot more vote than they think? I know most Witnesses will never admit that they do for obvious reasons. But as I’ve mentioned in a previous post, I’ve noticed more and more political comments creep in here and there among some of them

  Anyone else have a similar observation past or present?

  Biden apologized yesterday so I’m sure all will be forgiven.😈

  It was a damage control half hearted apology because of all the backlash.

  Biden is a dope. Always was. His ego was always larger than his intelligence.

  Honestly, like Bernie, he is much too old to withstand the physical and mental requirements needed to be President. If he gets elected, he will be 78. At the end of his first term he will be 82. If by chance he goes for a second term, he will be 86 at the end of that. Sorry, his hopes and dreams are just unrealistic.

  I’m no doctor and even if I was, a diagnosis isn’t possible without an examination, but he does show some outward signs of a decline of some of his mental processes.

  If he is elected, as President, he will repeatedly say the wrong thing at the wrong time to the wrong people.

  Besides those born in, i believe most join/ convert because at first, it gives a person a sense of belonging. You are definitely part of something. Part of an organization And have a place in it. Either a publisher, pioneer, and for men. MS, or elder. At first, a person is love bombed and accepted. But then, as you progress and eventually get baptized, you are expected to accept everything they say. Your so called friends will no longer be your friends if you stray from the truth.

  why do the elders always stress to the rank and file members of the congregation how important meeting attendance is, as well as the importance of always paying attention to every word that's being presented from the slave?

  but then, during the meeting, they rarely sit and pay attention themselves to the wonderful spiritual banquet being presented?

  They always seem so busy, don't they? Always getting up and going to the back office, or walking back to make a phone call, or a few of the elders and suck up MS meeting among themselves during the meeting in the office or hallway or auxiliary room behind closed doors. Can't these things wait until after the meeting?

  Or is it that, (and I know the answer to this already), they are just too good for, or don't want to hear the drivel that comes from the platform? Nah, couldn't be that!!!!

  Midweek Meeting looooooooong prayers.

  one thing that aggravates me is long concluding prayers, especially at the midweek meeting.

  you work all day, rush home, grab a quick bite, dress up in meeting clothes.

  then, go to the meeting.

  At the memorial a couple of years ago, an elderly brother was chosen to say the opening prayer. He started the prayer with: Jehovah our father in heaven, oh this is a most sacred night. ‘‘Twas Nisan 14 and your glory was seen......and he just droned on and on and on........ really, your using a now defunct kingdom song as your opening prayer?
