seems that the page view out number the posters who actually reply to the thread.. my guess is that there's alot of active jws who are still active within' the so called "truth" are visiting this forum and reading all the threads.
i don't blame them for not wanting to reply for fear of being found out.. how many of you were still active when you found a forum like this one and lurked around for a long time?
how many of you left the organization as a result of reading this forum or other forums like it?.
I check out the website on a regular basis. I don't post as much as I would like. I am very active in the Org. Regular pub, not serving in any capacity at the Hall. There is a lot of interesting posts, some a bit sensational and others more believable. I enjoy seing the other side of the Org. through this website. I would think there are many active ones who check this site out from time to time.

...to my knowledge in the truth (some 25plus years)there has never been or have I ever heard of seating the DF'd in a specific row. i.e "The Disfellowshipped Row"...its true most df'd people tend to gravitate to the back of the hall....but I have never seen or heard of the ushers passing over (no pun intended)the df'd people..I am not saying that it has not happened, but this sounds a little fishy...

..I saw Prince in concert a few months ago..........definitely NO CUSS words....I was paying attention throughout the whole show. Also during "Let's Go Crazy"..the intro... he cut short of saying anything about the afterlife..mmmm...killer show tho one of the best all around musicians I have ever seen.....played all instruments....not sure if he is baptized, but his show was definitely Rated PG.......
Imagine at the local KH where Prince goes and while singing he busts out his trademark sound...OOOWWWW WWWWHHHHAAAAA!!!!!

i know a lot of jws that seemed to disappear, and everybody just stopped talking about them.
i would love to be reunited with some of the people i grew up with in good old c-town (cleveland).
i'm 27, and if you lived on the east side of cleveland, i probably knew you.
Assembly Hall in London, Oh is still alive and kickin'.....I haven't been there recently but I know many who still got there for CA and Special Days....and yes it is still windy as always up there!!!

well, the answer is really quite simple.
........you guys forgot the coolest technique known to a timid publisher......................"THE AIR KNOCK"......its pretending to knock, go through all the motions and yet never actually knock!!!
Honestly I have never done this but I know of some who do!!
Imagine the householder seeing somebody come to the door and yet no KNOCK...LOL...sounds like a "Seinfeld" episode....(In Jerry's Voice) "They're AIR KNOCKING....Why do they AIR KNOCK???....Don't they know we see them????? So why all the AIR KNOCKING.......

my handle: mindchild comes from computer scientist and futurist dr. hans moravec: who wrote the book, the future of robot and human intelligence which is a book about when we will be able to construct machines capable of human intelligence and raises the possibility of uploading ourselves (every thought we ever had) into an android body much superior to the human ones we have now.
i entertain the hope that not only will i live long enough to see this happen, i will transfer myself (the complete essence of what is me) into a body of my own choosing and become immortal if i so choose.
mine comes from "a place where everybody knows your name"....ie Cheers..and no I don't resemble Norm in the least...but do have a penchant for the beer!!
Also the 67 is to throw off my real age..not born in 1967..little later than that..kind of ironic to be an active JW and take up the name "Normie" from a show where everybody knows your name...and yet here it is imperative that I remain anonymous.....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

is it common knowledge amongst the jw's about the wt being an ngo that was linked to the united nations?.
or is this information just in the hands of a few elders?
i'm intrigued as to whether this information about the un has begun to trickle through to the r & f yet, and i'm also wondering if publishers will have a ready made answer (other than a library ticket)should they be confronted with this objection during the door to door work.. englishman.. bring on the dancing girls!

actually, that teaching has never been revoked although recent literature - since about 1988 - always says that a cd is "thousands of years" long.. two questions:.
(i) is any jw here willing to find out if the wts still believes that a cd is exactly 7000 years long or not?

The only person to push the 7000 CDs was Fred Franz with his article in the Watchtower Oct 74??
As an active JW, that is, I believe, the only reference in Society's Lit. to this specific amount of time.I may be wrong, but ask any average "Joe Pub" in the Truth, and he will say "not sure".
You may get a few who may still dogmatically say "7000 Years", but its not supported in any Lit. to date...I have done some research on this. I also asked a few about it and got the same response...."not sure".
Just my 2 cents worth......
I know this point isn't topic of conversation in the Congs now or in the past 10 yrs...(i.e Generation Change in Mid 90s)
