  Ex Music

  because i love music so much, i wanted to start another thread on it.. what songs remind you of your ex?

  the ones you have to turn off before you... a) cry your eyes out... b) get so angry you would like to curse out loud, or... d) you dont care, you like to be reminded of your past flings.. for me it would have to be anything from seal, or hootie and the blowfish, and anything jazz.

  i dont a,b, or c, but i do get annoyed and dont like to be reminded so i switch the station.. anyone else?

  music has such an impact on our lives. Even if it is crap songs it will always take us back in time.

  I still get teared up in some of the kingdumb melodies. Baptism songs, My shulamite maiden..so lovely and boring.......

  When I hear bye bye American pie, took my chevy to the levy..er I wont finish the last part cuz my kids dad said that was me........LOL

  Anyway, music is a part of us, if it touches you and helps you get over the past, that is good. If it reminds you of the past, stop listening. It took me a decade to get over some of the songs, no song bothers me anymore.

  This too will pass.

  in the garden i was working at most of the day, unfortunately there were not many purple flowers which specifically requested, anyway, i hope these iris do the trick for you instead, with my compliments, and today, i hope you are feeling somewhat better than last night, before you say anything, you're more than welcome!

  Those are awesome Celtic.

  I was just working in my garden this morning, and some of my new flowers I planted are not doing so good. But I do have a awesome herb assortment that is taking off. I have Chocolate mint, French lavender, English thyme, Tuscan blue rosemary, Variegated oregano, Sweet marjoram, Pineapple mint, chives the variety goes on and on.

  But the yard looks great, and one of my passions is gardening.

  I am glad you sent those to CG, I talked to her last night and had to run to an appointment, she is a sweetie and I enjoyed listening to her bull frogs, LOL.

  Now if I can just get my bougainvillea to get HUGE, I will be happy, it has always beem my favorite.

  Relationships because of the WTS............thoughts on Fathers Day

  being that this is the first father's day since my 'quiting'.. i anxiously went to the local hallmark store to see about getting my dad a card at the very least.... i'm one of those people who never buy cards in advance to have handy just in case.

  no, when i have a card i want to send someone, i will always go through every card in the store in the area i am interested in and find the perfect card to show my sentiments of the person i am sending it to.. .

  my father was never a jw.. his father died when he was 13 years old and he and his brother quit school and worked the farm and got gas station jobs, so their mother could keep the farm.

  this is weird you thought of this today because I did too. I was attending a bridal shower and went to get a card, there were all these fathers day cards, I didn't even realize it was coming up.

  I started thinking about my dad. My mom had been molested by her dad, and when my parents married they made a pact that if they ever had a girl, she would raise her and my dad would have nothing to do with it.

  Well they stuck to that pact. I never remember a kiss, hug or anything about being pretty or daddys little girl. I have one memory, I must of been 4 or 5 because I hadn't started school yet when I was so sick in the middle of the night and he was up watching TV. I came out of my room and climbed into his lap, he put me down fast, and he took me to an all night store, I think it was a 7/11 and bought me candy. I still remember the candy, I chose bit'o'honey because I knew it was his favorite. As a 4 or 5 year old I didn't like it, but we shared it and it is still one of my favorites to this day.

  I am sure my mom never knew about our midnight encounter.

  Hugs to you Sassy, and every little girl out there who didn't have a loving daddy who made her feel like a princess..........

  What are you doing with your Sundays?

  helllloooo everyone,.

  after reading this board for quite a while, i've finally been moved to post.

  i was inspired by our trip to the dallas apostachilifest, where princess and i met lots of terrific people in various stages of exit from the j-ho's.

  I love working weekends, when I was a active witness the time of the meetings gave me panic attacks, especially the weekends..

  Now I don't have them but work almost every weekend. We have a starbucks two doors down from my office, I like to call it my orvice....and the witnesses come in every weekend to encourage me..LOL

  I am glad you HEARD me in Dallas........LOL

  for example: let's say the blood issue could be resolved, would you stay?

  or if 1914 doctrine was dissolved or the disfellowshipping/ shunning view changed?

  sometimes its ok cuz you can go to the store and buy more.. sometimes its not ok cuz you drank too much but need more.. sally.
