  We had a JW at the door today...how I handled it..

  my first instinct was to tell him to go away and my husband was going to answer the door and i said, just tell him we are disfellowshipped.

  (i am da'd....he hasn't ever been, but, he is "guilty by association" and conciders himself da'd too...).

  so, it is one older man and he is handing out the "follow the christ" convention invitation.

  next time i will say my mother in law, who is not a jw lol, told me about it and gave me a phone number to call and i did ,,,to the un , and they confirmed it

  my first exposure to tammy was nursing my last child every 2 hours thru the night

  the only thing on tv in those days was PTL

  she was fascinating, in the view from an active jw

  her 'adornments ' etc way to over the edge

  then i came to see her thru all her tribulations

  i dont know if she had dillusions or mental issues or was just that way

  she creaped me out yet at the same time i was jealous of her faith

  just my 2 cents

  i'll start with my congregation....... there have been about 7 disfellowshippings in my congregation alone within the last year.

  over half the congo is inactive and many more are irregular pubs.

  young people in the congo are dropping like flies.

  i wish the illegal immigrant issue could/would be dealt with in the now growing spanish congregations

  any thoughts on that,,,being canadian, i may be way outta the loup:)

  well some here know my story,,after dfing, pretty bad,,,.

  lets just say i went from an easy financial existance to immediate extreme poverty.

  and being a mature female, that is harsh.

  thanks both of you,,it has been a hard haul,,but no less than hitting those doors in the cold lol

  just gotta get up each morning and go for it,,,a word for the young leaving the org...it can be done

  i am so jealous of those with an education,,i didint have a chance in the org:(

  but have decided, here in canada, upon retirement age,,soon,,,they give us option for free education,,so then i am going for my law degree
