last day
by BlackSwan of Memphis inwas today.. he's more upset then he thought he would be.. after nearly 30 years with a company and they just say "see ya".
they've let around 50 people go so far and there are more terminations to come.. we've been scouring the various websites (career builder, monster etc) and the local papers and out of state papers....... ..... just nothin much out there.... thinking out loud tonight he mentioned canada.
not my first choice, only because i'm not a fan of winter to begin with, going more north is not something i'm completely in love with, but at this point.........anywhere he can get a job that pays decently.. he's going to take a test for the postal service.

well canada is beautiful, i live in bc
vancouver is one of the top 3 or 5 places to live in the world
do an online dig about van....ok we have rain, but that is the best wrinkle preventer in the world also
and you dont have to shovel it
nothing like playing tennis in the winter/
here in vancouver, you can ski, swim in ocean, play tennis all in the same day

3 months, not even a phone call about my late mother from the Dubs.....
by WingCommander inso......it has been 3 months since my mother passed away and not one, not one witness has called, stopped by, or even sent a card to me!
it hit me today.
i mean, i must have gotten like 50 sympathy cards in the mail from her worldly relatives and co-workers, as well as numerous phone calls, but not one witness has done anything!

the very same thing happened to me for both my mother and father,,,i guess their being worldly meant their passing wouldnt mean a thing to me:(

jw's bought a restaurant here
by orbison11 ina jw's couple bought a restaurant , relatively nice one too, here in town.
so i am doing my part in spreading the good news about how my son, a member of their church, had his assembly here in my town 3 weekends ago and was not allowed to talk to me due to my no longer beign a jw (and my shop is 2 blocks from the arena they had their assembly in).
i have not spoken with him in 8 years.

OH i am a bad mother :)
by orbison11 inso last night i close and lock the back door and front door.
go to bed,,10 pm,, my loving dog comes to bed,,and i call new kitty,,,kitty ,,kitty, where are you.
i doze, off to sleep harley (dog) and i go.

so i get up, 6.30, coffee, open front door, etc,,,didnt notice kitty not around, as she is new, plus is not the first to run in to living room
about 10 minutes later i hear kitty, crying, or whatever you call it
so, harley and i go searching, thinking she is caught up in sheets in my bed, as usual
no, she is in between back door and screen door (since 10 pm till 6.30)
i cant believe it,,,oh i was so upset,,poor kitty
guess she doesnt go near the screen door in the back again lol

HAIRSPRAY *SPOILER ALERT*
by free2think inomg.......i just got back from seeing hairspray and i have to say you have to go see it, it's fantastic.. i laughed practically all the way through.
i laughed so much i was getting hyaterical it was so funny.. my favourite lines were:.
