I lived in Lakeland myself from 1992-1995. I was going to the KH trying to be reinstated. I Da myself in 1991 when I lived in Vermont after a Case in Montpelier hit the news.
I applied for a job in Winne Dixie in 1993 on 92 and Fish Hatchery Rd. NOw a JW woman worked at the time in the Deli where I was going to the hall. She had no idea I was Da or reason why I left.
I got the job and the lady who hired me knew I was going to the KH, I told her the nights I could not work and she said it was OK. She told me to come back in one hour to get my hours. I did and there all of a sudden there was no job. I asked her of there was a problem with my application and she said no. I told her what may have happened and asked if I could work for another department. She said no, so I asked to speak with the Manager.
I asked him the same thing. He said I could not have a job there. I told him myformer mother-in-law used to work there when she was alive. He said she was a good woman and implied I was not. He did not know me for him to imply such a statement. I had over 2 years in spermarket cash handling experice there was nothing worng with my application.
2 weeks later I went shopping with my girlfriend went by the deli. JW woman said to the other woman ( I did not know woman #2 was a JW) I fixed it so that disfellowshipped person can't work here."
I threanted the store I was going to the EEOC. All of a sudden the elder showed up. I only missed a week at the Kingdom Hall.
They started the conversation,"We missed you at the Hall, do you belive you are going to be in the new system. (All the blah, blah stuff of I am going to die at Armegeddon crap after that)"
I told them, "I don't know if I am going to be there, but I RATHER BE IN HELL THAN TO BE IN THE NEW SYSTEM WITH PEOPLE LIKE YOU! BTW,GET OFF MY PORCH!"

the weather was perfect, the bride was beautiful, and andi and neil looked very happy.

I agree with you on the point we should see a doctor. I trust them.
I turned to alternative therpies when all else failed. I was very fortunate my primary doctor did not pooh pooh it. In fact he montored me and I did listen to him.
The doctors Thought I had mutiple scrosis at one point in time. I was loosing strenght on the left side of my body.
My freind started telling me teh dangers of Nutra Sweet. I laugh at her at first. ThenI prayed about it. I used nutra sweet in a lot fo things especailly the iced tea I would make.
I stopped and the symptoms went away ASAP. I swtiched to my current diet and got better. My doctor told me to keep up with what I was going because it is working. I went to the Massachuutes General Hospital because my problems were very servere.
Your mom sounds she has a lot of problems. Most people who are into alternatives also have good primary doctrors whom we listen to.

I lived in teh Lakeland area (Just moved 2 weeks before from Boston) when Andrew hit. We got some heavy rain and no damage. I lived just too far North.
Many of my friends were contractors who were allowed in to help with the rebuilding work after teh storm, Now they went down as soon as OK was given about 2 weeks. My firends were devistated by teh massive destruction.
My friends told me the true count of the dead was more than told. Those who were counted were those who citizen and people who had loved one looking for them. I felt many of the ollegals werenot in the number and those who are forgotten.
My advice, don't hang around!!!! GET OUT NOW!! Have a can of spray paint if you are a homeowner and just put the name of you insurence company spray painted on your house!

I am a vegan vegitarian. I try not to eat eggs or dairy unless it is in a food which those prodicts have been processed. I try to east raw unrefined whole wheat foods with in reason. If I am out in mixed company I not neuorotic about my food, I won' t eat any flesh products which include chicken and fish.
I know a lot of people today who are afraid of those things which you describe.

I know of a Elders' Wife who is into macrobiotcs. health movement. she had a lot fo heath problems it help her. In fact her greater health inspired me. Years later when Iwas very sick, I tried a different concept and got off disablity. I did not call doctors quacks, but when the failed and wrote me off I tried another avanue.
Elders' wife told me she gave her two children (boy and girl) enemas until they were in their teens. I found this very creepy. Zev for purposes of this discussion they male had to have been pursued when he was a minor (under 18) Over 18 the law considers him a legal adult. My focus is child abuse not consenting adults who get involved in a realtionship.

That is why a female pedophile can hide her activity if her vicitim is in puberty. Just look at the media and how it seem ok for a teenage boy to have sex with an older woman who seduces him. I don't see how healthy it can be for the for teens to be seduced by older women.
I have no problem if a younger man want to have a relationship with an older woman. There is a difference betweem two older adults having a relationship where the person have the time and maturity. I find it more disugsting when the boy is just a teen havig his first sexaul experice with a woman who may be old enough to be his mother.
There is very little stigma attached. In fact I am seeing it as a thumbs up.
I am also reading some very sad stories with consquences which are disaster. I feel for them and if the young man had the maturity to see what was going on was abuse.

Also because you were 16 you looked at it as a conquest not a crime. I feel if you were a sister who was 16 and a 20 someting brother came on to you, it would be viewed more as staturoty rape.
Men are taught to accept this as normal sexual conquest and a thumbs up. Girls it is a thumbs down.
