i went the other day to give a pint of my own blood for my upcoming surgery............boy oh boy, did i start to feel guilty at first, but then everyone told me what a smart idea it was: the doctors, nurses, family, ex-witness friends, friends at work........it was a piece of cake, so i go again next week to give more.. what is the gbs reasoning on refusing this procedure?
i'm not taking anyone else's blood in to my body; my blood doesn't have to be "poured out" because i'm not frigging dead!!!!.
how many lives could have been saved if they had even said "okay, you can store your own blood.

I tried to donate blood a few months ago, but fainted in the process! (how stupid did I feel?).
Anyway, the Blood Transfusion staff were really great, thanked me for turning up (hmmm), and advised me not to back until I had put on a bit of weight!! I received a letter from them soon after, saying the same thing!

at the risk of being called a "troll" again , i will share just one of the items discussed at the co's and do's emergency meeting.
so as not to be doubted, this is to be covered at most/all of the co's and do's visits over the next 6 months in the uk.
the society is concerned about the level of waste and expense caused by excess wt and awakes being ordered by the brothers and sisters which are then not put into the hands of the public.
I personally don't think that Watchtowers and Awake magazines are rubbish.
I find they contain invaluable information when taking the Society/an individual JW to court.
So don't throw them away folks - keep them - you never know when they may come in useful

Suffering with clinical depression is NOT like feeling "a bit down" or "not having a good day".
Yes I agree that some people SAY they have depression, when in reality they may just be going through a temporary bad patch, feeling a bit unhappy, generally fed up.
That is not clinical depression.
Some people with clinical depression react well to therapy/social support/medication/ECT and are able to function and cope with life at a better level than they may have been able to do previously.
Everyone is different.
Please do not insult individuals who are constantly battling with this mental disorder - it doesn't help them.

my mother told us last night that her po told her we are disassociated.
no announcement was made.
she is upset, and i told her i would call him.. at first she didn't want me to do that, but later changed her mind.. so, i left a message on his answering machine.he will call me.........he always returns my calls.

hello friends .
i've just been thinking about something as i drove past the kingdom hall near where i work.
it has absolutely no windows.
The old hall did have windows - I think it was built in the 1970's. It was bulldozed by an electricity company about 3 years ago.
The cong now share with another cong - that hall does have windows, but again it was originally built 20+ years ago.
A newer hall in another district doesn't have windows though.
It could be that they are worried about all of us evil apostates going and breaking their windows!! Like we would seriously risk a prison sentence for them! Ha!

after posting a reply to another thread i wondered if anyone can answer these questions??.
1. why are sisters not allowed to wear trousers?.
2. when sisters where a skirt why have they got to be below the knee?.
A "cream mac" is a rain coat, usually full length.
I have often wondered why sisters never wear trousers.
The number of times I used to get home from work (wearing a trouser suit!) and have to change into a skirt because of the meeting. I was tempted on SO many occasions to wear trousers.
What would the elders have done? Would they have taken me to one side to "speak to me" about it? My ex mother in law would have had a fit (good it would probably have killed her! Hey I AM serious!)
I really regret not having done that just to BAIT them!!
Ah well - having other fun with them now!
