by Phizzy indo any of you remember things you should never have said to a fellow j.w ?.
two of mine come to mind, one was when we were out in field circus one day and my companion was complaining of knee pain, he explained, " it has a crack in it ", i replied " that explains why my bum hurts, that's got a crack in it", the other one was when a guy showed me a chef's knife he had bought for chopping, and i said " i always wanted a big chopper ".. you ?.

Is it possible to nullify a baptism?
by idk123 inhope you are all well,.
i was wondering within the organisation if there are any guidelines or grounds for nullifying a baptism.
see i grew up a jehovah's witness and was baptised at age 13, i didn't get baptised for the right reasons, i felt pressured to because my friends were getting baptised at the same time.

In short No.
this is from the shepherd book.
VALIDITY OF WRONGDOERâS BAPTISM
60. When dealing with a wrongdoer, the elders should not raise ques- tions about the validity of the individualâs baptism. If the individ- ual raises the issue, the elders may refer him to the February 15, 2010, Watchtower, page 22.
61. At times a wrongdoer will claim that his baptism is not valid and that he feels he is not accountable to a judicial committee be- cause he secretly engaged in wrongdoing shortly before he was baptized. If the elders had been aware of his serious wrongdo- ing committed just before baptism, likely they would not have ap- proved him for baptism. However, this does not necessarily mean that he did not make a valid dedication. Some individuals make a dedication long before their baptism; others have made a ded- ication shortly before. The elders are not in a position to read the heart and know for a certainty how Jehovah viewed the person at the time he was baptized. If the elders learn that a baptized individual secretly engaged in serious wrongdoing while he was an unbaptized publisher but the wrongdoing ceased before baptism, they should give counsel and encouragement. A judicial commit- tee should not be formed for prebaptism wrongdoing. (1 Cor. 6: 9-11) However, if the individual resumed serious wrongdoing af- ter baptism, the elders would generally deal with him on the ba- sis of what he has professed to be, a dedicated and baptized Christian, and would meet with him judicially.
62. There are rare occasions when it is obvious that the baptism was invalid because serious wrongdoing did not cease before bap- tism, even for a brief period of time. For example, it may be that at the time of baptism, the individual was living immorally with a member of the opposite sex or the same sex, was a member of a nonneutral organization, or something similar. If there are ques- tions, the Service Department should be consulted.

Lack of Zeal has been an issue for years. I remember I used to put it down to Apathy on the part of the householder. What a dumbass!

Ha ha ha itâs all wishful thinking.
It would be great if true. Also the date is the end of July, we would have definitely heard something official about this by now.

Whatever is bound on EARTH is already Loosed in Heaven
by Alex Williams inwhen a person is guilty and worthy of punishment, the judgment âwill already have been bound in heaven jesus said and if they are loosed or innocent it will already have been âloosed in heaven..in such judicial deliberations, jesus says, âwhere there are two or three gathered together in my name, there i am in their midst.â .
psalm 127:3.. children are a sacred trust, âan inheritance from jehovah.
jws abhor child abuse and view it as a crime.its recognized that the authorities are responsible for addressing such crimes.jws do not shield any perpetrator of child abuse from the authorities as has been alleged.

Mr Theocracy
at the the time we didnât have a hall. We were meeting in hotels and community centres.
Also we were very rural. I know what the âguidelinesâ say. However, the BOE said that they felt these âbrothersâ were repentant and did not pose a risk. Iâm not making this up, itâs my experience of the org. And as for only working with elders, these guys were smart and used to be the only brothers in some midweek groups.
You have to admit that this happens in the org and that it is impossible to monitor these ones activity 100 percent
I even maintain that they should be escorted to the toilet in the hall as opportunists they will take any chance they have to get to young ones
Although itâs fair to say that it is policy that parents are warned of individuals now. Trust me that was never the case, but it does now put the onus on the parents, and seems to be a future excuse if the children do abused in the org saying âwell you were warnedâ

Money! How much did you "Contribute" To The WTB@TS When You Were A Member
by The Bethelite ini was in full time service for six years including bethel.
once i got out of bethel, i figured i had already given them six of the best years of my life (ages 18-24) working as a slave/drone in their factory, so i rationalized that i had given them enough... so over the next 27 years i would say maybe $200 bucks is it.
i think their whole "voluntary contributions" idea is biting them in the ass, because over all jehovah's witnesses are a cheap group people with a few exceptions.

I refused to give anything. Jesus said come drink lifeâs water free.
Although, if was dropping a hefty amount each month, I donât think Iâd be disfellowshipped now đ

Alex I believe you are naive. JW certainly do protect abusers in the congregation. My experience is that they value them as men and give not two shites about the victim. Itâs all about protecting the reputation of the org.
I refused to have a field service arrangement in my house as the BOE wanted to put a known abuser (in the community) in my group. I was protecting my children, but got told I was not being hospitable and wouldnât qualify for my position of MS in the congregation.
the organisation sickens me to my core as I think of the amount of abusers that I have had experience with and they are now free to prey on innocent trusting children.
I was a thorn in the side of that BOE, when I moved out the congregation they refused to give me a recommendation because of this.
plus any advice to help the abused is pitiful. These children need professional counselling. Not an understanding sister or more men to shepherd them.
Children are indeed a precious gift, and I only wish I knew how to help those abused. My own children I have told to get out of the org while they can.

CHILD MOLESTATION: How have they been able to hide it for so long?
by Zoos ini was in the organization until 2011. .
i n-e-v-e-r heard of this problem.
not even a whisper.

Itâs because they feel they are directed by a higher power. So itâs easy for them to say âJehovah will see to it, and it may not happen until Armageddonâ as far as that statement is concerned itâs a conscience salver.

Itâs simple really. I have had experience in more than congregation of abuse.
One affected my sibling. I remember when I found out I wanted to do him a serious injury, but was told âif you do anything you are playing into Satanâs hands, and the reproach on Jehovahâs Name would taint the local witnesses for yearsâ so I duly obeyed and did nothing. The matter was reported to the police but charges were not pressed, as it was sin to take another brother to court etc. He got away with it, and I have suspicions that he also abused others in the local congregation.
so by playing on fear and trusting in Jehovah, elders, branches and ultimately the GB are able to keep a lid on things!
