When I was in pioneer school the kept repeating "the whole month off" as a reward for getting your time in early. Even back then I wonderer how can they use that as prize when we are supposed to love bringing God's word to others, a burning inside if it we did not speak out. If a whole month off is great how about a whole year!

I have had them often. I hate being taken to a place(emotionally) that I didnt want to be then you have this journey to get out. I have a tendency to stuff/bury emotions so having being placed in a place I have been intentional avoiding really pisses me off. And you cant just leave as fast as you got there. It really is a journey to get away from these awful emotions. For me being able to talk to someone has helped the most. And I hate being all needy. It is like hating to ask for help yet asking is the only way it get it.

Jehovah does not measure or count our time in field service. Can you imagine the angels wearing watches and turning in their time in the angeling work. Absurd!

When I was a pioneer I was told if I stopped to drop off magazines at a laundry mat my time could start before meeting for field service. Which was way cool at the time. But also thought if a neighbor saw me leaving all dressed with book bag in hand was't that a witness so why stop at laundry mat. So I was extra loud when leaving the house so my time could start. These rules can turn anybody into a pharisee.

Society tells us to stop asking questions...
by cedars ini was just glancing at the back of the october 15th watchtower and the questions from readers.
the question under discussion is "what should i do when i have a question about something i read in the bible or when i need advice about a personal problem?".
the article goes on to discuss how we should consult the watch tower publications index among the many 'tools' that have been provided by the faithful and discreet slave whenever we have a question that is not directly discussed in the publications.. one statement really caught my eye, because it's the first time i've ever seen the society actually dissuade people from writing in with questions.

What if my question was, "How do I will my family estate to the watchtower?" Do you think they would have the time and resources to respond to my question?

normaly when someone leaves a cult they get there amily back. with the wt organization you lose your family because they are still in it. talk about being left with no support system.

Some pretty blatant stuff coming up in bookstudy
by agent zero inso i was reading ahead in the bookstudy book "bearing thorough witness" about god's kingdom, and i came upon some shockingly direct damage control on behalf of the gb in the material for the upcoming weeks.. on page 104: what a privilege it is to be instructed and molded by our patient and kind heavenly father!
the results are always good and always to our advantage.
so let us never proudly push ahead with our own ideas or react negatively to organizational changes or to adjusted explanations of certain scriptures.
