  i heard this information 3rd hand, so i'm just after confirmation.

  mike kramer, a little short guy.

  was a bethel heavy and a company man through and through.

  A very charismatic man indeed , I have a catch phrase burned into my mind from a talk of his "DOESN'T BOTHER MY CONSCIENCE " it's in caps cos he repeated it so often and it was probably clipping the speakers it was that loud

  suicide

  who among us has known a jw who has committed suicide.

  i believe this as a separate subject has not been covered..

  So, sadly one of my former friends passed away last night.. only info I have is he died in his sleep ,he was early 40s elder and awesome person, he suffered from depression and also type 1 diabetes and since his passing I've have thought about something he said to me once that "it would be easy for him to not take his meds and go to sleep and not wake up " now it may not be suicide but sad nonetheless.

  A PO's son 18 ended his life after a minor run in with the law , another witness I knew drove his car off a cliff 2 years ago his last words to his wife were "see you in the new system "

  Our country has one of the worst rates of suicide, it needs to be talked about more

  Younger Witnesses less fanatical or fundamental

  i am a born in jw for over 30 years now and have been in various positions in the organization.

  now i'm guessing most of us recognize that older generations tend to be more fundamental and less reasonable when it comes to their outlook and beliefs.

  i find this to mirror the differences you see outside of the organization as well (older people less tolerant of other religions, newer technology, lgbt, etc.).

  I'm around that age and almost all my former friends don't fall into that category, they are just as blind as the average jw and just as scared of anything negative about the org .

  ok , my wife and i have faded for a year and a half , i won't bore u with all the details but my wife just got confirmation that her sister got a visit some time ago saying we are marked and my sister also got the same visit in which we were described as dangerous, now for my wife , she has not spoken 1 bad word to anyone about the org apart from me (she woke me up ) the elders came around while i wasn't home and bailed her up but she said she wasn't comfortable talking to them without me there ,so the result ?......

  let's do a round of all their friends and say shit about them because we can't df them but let's get them treated the same as if they were .... yeah yeah that's a good idea .... stupid mofos!

  out to just wreck the reputation of any defectors from the org .

  can any one recommend any good books to read that have come out in the last few years?

  i haven't read a good book in a long time and i'd like to get into reading again.

  i'm not into autobiographies or sports books.

  End times "too late for you now" witnessing?

  hello there.. i've heard it several times from different people while i was growing up, as well seen some people talk about it here on the forum.

  the subject is the jw belief that a time will come before the end where they will change the message that jesus talked about, to one of damnation, where the world will be told something along the lines of "it is too late now".

  do any of you have references to jw litterature where they write this?

  Whats the point of declaring yr time is up ? Is it an i told you so? ,if it was actually tru they would find out soon enough, no point getting yr ass kicked by someone you pissed off by telling them it's too late yr gonna die mate!

  Heya big red , I'm no where near local to you, as close as I get is Kentucky bourbon ha ha , my wife woke me up so speaking from the side of the woken spouse some pivotal points for me were learning of beth sarim ,Ray Franz and reading crisis of conscience and the UN debacle, what a slap in the face to wake me up , although I had doubts for years ,there's a depth to the indoctrinated weeds that we all have that are so hard to eradicate, tread carefully with yr spouse, so much sound advice on here , love from the bottom of the world ,laters
