Joe... Your dad sounds like my dad, the blatant refusal to confront information that contrasts his own understanding of how things are... This is the problem with the portion of mankind that hold themselves to religious ideologies.

joe : dont get mad or offensive, but there was a documentary that aired a few nights ago on prime time tv in the usa concerning the jws, and there was some very nasty stuff mentioned, and it certainly wasn’t positive toward the organisation.

she has 4 kids all who are out and never baptised, she's a widow now and sold the family home and has bought a new place and has plenty of cash in the bank.
my cousins are all very concerned because their mum has a new friend whos "anointed" and says jehovah has spoken to her and she will survive armageddon and so will her kids if she sticks close.. she has been paying out for holidays and vehicle repairs for this anointed sister and her extended family and my cousins are alarmed at whats going on and can see the situation for what it is.

Nuts is right bud, keep up yr fantastic work! , they are waiting until this anointed sister has a talking to this coming Wednesday and then they will know what if anything is being done of this. I told him(my cousin) to not be fobbed off just because hes not a witness... , demand to talk to the elders who dealt with her to discuss what they know with his concerns. so we'll see

Increase in Second Sealings for the Anointed?
by Nevuela inthe other day i heard my anointed roommate on the phone, discussing something called the "second sealing".
i heard her say that most anointed people only receive it shortly before death, if they receive it at all.
she went on to say that she has been hearing about several other anointed people receiving theirs recently and not dying afterward.

I told them that no serious jw would believe that, especially given Jehovah had told this sister needs to be on a diet of nuts and coconut milk?
I offered to ring an elder in her hall to make them aware of the situation.
So i called a long time father figure elder ive known most of my life (he came to see me on my way out to talk some sense into me but... No of course)
I explained that Aunts kids were concerned about this anointed sister... He interrupted and said dont worry we're onto it... and i said? Dont you want to hear what their concerns are? He said ok go ahead... He could hardly give me the time of day and was short and not friendly... Nice one
So yeah a story of a looney basically who is exploiting a gullible older lady and how dare an Apostate ring up telling the elders what to do!

I was also a twinkle in my dads stupid pioneer eye... Just today we talked of 1975 (hes still an avid jw beliver) and he said he thought the end was coming in 75 but afterwards it was a great sifting work, where it sorted out the right hearted ones from those serving to a date..
I almost puked. I said... dont u think there were sincere people who smelled a rat and BS and thats why they left ? I pointed out luke 21.8 and said the jw fit the bill for this scripture and there was tumbleweed... What a dumbass.. Sorry dad

I have fantasies of some Russian hacker, hacking the breaking news section or jw. (B)org and inserting actual relevant to jw news! Imagine the complaints to the authorities....! We were hacked and they were smearing our name with truth and facts... Sheesh sorry guys we'll see what we can do.. cue eye roll from the authorities

Does Disfellowshipping only prohibit spiritual contact with a DF family member or friend?
by Isambard Crater inall through my life, now in my 40's, i've seen df people get completely shunned by family and friends, but an ex elder showed me the stfog book that says it's just spiritual contact that stops.
so what's the crack?
i'm mega confused, as i want to go p.o.m.o or ideally da but don't want to loose family..

by smiddy3 inwhen god created adam and eve and put them in the garden of eden it was then up to them to cultivate and take care of it ,god had no further hand in it .the responsibility rested with adam/eve and their offspring.. the same would be true in the paradise to come ,god gets rid of all of us wicked people ,but then it is up to j.w.~s who are left on this earth to restore such a paradise.?
without god`s intervention.. think of it , this system is gone with all its infrastructure.. 8 million + j.w.`s scattered throughout the earth with.

Smidster... One of my former favourite subjects!
Before I left I often used to spark heavy debates with those realistic truths of how communities and industry works... How going back to "frontier living" is just a fantasy for those who haven't lived it or more truthfully.. Survived it!
Where do those out of season veges and exotic fruits, commodities come from if everyone is on holiday in paradise ? Ore being mined for iron, copper etc to make the materials needed for building? Who's gonna run the bath of molten tin needed 24/7 to float the newly fired glass out onto to make the panes needed for the floor to ceiling windows of the imaginary penthouse of every publisher...??
The regurgitated line of "we'll have all the time in the world" doesn't and won't work even in utopia.. The only way civilisation works and has advanced is without divine influence and is a slow moving morphosis of the good in humanity and the slow understanding of science.
