LG, I thought about that too, epecially the ones who faded over 10 years ago. Likely their cards aren't even in the files anymore. So who knows? It's just a thought.

BOC, If the WBT$ would institue shunning inactive ones it would involve tens of thousands whose friends and family might not think deserve such a harsh punishment. The "test of faith" would be whether or not the flock would set aside their natural love and affection for a new rule they didn't agree with in order to prove loyal to the Borg and to avoid being DFed themselves for disobedience.

by flipper indue to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?
remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.

Flipper, it is astounding that you recognized 12 JW names on Megan's list. That is just ONE town in California! I was once a single sister with 2 children I regularly brought to the KH and out in FS. I later found out that there were THREE accused Pedophiles in that cong that I had NO KNOWLEDGE OF! Parents are not notified when there is a predator/accused preditor in their midst and that is inexcusable. After all, elders give marking talks about teens who have smoked a joint or drunk alcoholetc. Why not pedophiles?

Meeting for not paying assembly fees???!!!!
by Kool Jo inhey folks......has anyone else heard of, or experienced this before?.
i visited by parents over the weekend and accompanied them to their assembly....same rubbish spoken about since ive been born....obey the gb, donate your last penny, no education and be a pushover.. anyways, our assembly hall has lush vegetation and scenery, so i was more focused on that....i started dozing off after lunch, so got up and went walking, saw some older folks from the congregation i grew up with.. upon the conclusion of the assembly, wed normally leave out right after the prayer ends so as to avoid the traffic.
however, for this assembly he told me that hes gonna be a few minutes with the elders and branch representatives...so a few minutes turned into an hour..

In the old days entire elder body's were removed and or entire congregations disbaned if the WTBT$ ordered it. Wonder if they would do something like that over non compliance. WTBT$ can call rebellion over anything they want.

I agree with Steve about Louise's sensitivity. Her video on spanking, while at times funny, gives us insight into the fear and pain she experienced as a child. She has indeed suffered because of this despicible religion and like most great comedians, the humor was born from pain.

Why don't parents of an abused child go straight to police, why go to an elder first??
by FeelingFree ini hope i don't come across as judgemental but having read a lot on the current child abuse cases and the different threads on here, i am left wondering why on earth a parent of an abuse victim would go to an elder with the problem first and not straight to police?.
as a parent myself i know that if anything like that happend to my child (this applies to when i was still an active jw as well as now) i would not hesitate in going to the authorities as soon as i found out, it wouldn't of crossed mine or my husbands mind to go to an elder.
maybe after we had reported it but definitely never as the first port of call.
