  ok so i know its not really anything to do with jwness but we are struggling with baby names and really can't think of one we both like.

  its getting a bit desperate as i'm due in about 8 weeks .. i'm getting bored of looking at the same old names on the baby names websites so any suggestions would be much appreciated (girls please).. **cash prize for the one we choose!

  I like Eris. I sounds like she's a trust fund baby. LOL A FB friend named their daughter Ocean. Another one I like is Nova. another is Esme. Pronounced Es may. I'm sure whatever name you pick will be great.

  Millie, the cute sister with the stylish outfit is from Ocenside outside of San Diego. I know many J dubs in SoCal and can assure you this is standard dress for the area. Just curious, where are you from?

  with the recent case of the watchtower hierarchy defying the court to either produce documents relating to child sex abuse claims within their organisation, and also refusing to produce a governing member to appear in court to answer questions , not only shows their arrogance and defiance of the law , they also show their contempt of the judicial system of the usa .. arent they supposed to be obeying the bible injunction ?

  Cognac, while i'm never happy when a marriage ends, I truly know from experience that when children are involved, sooner is better than later. I wish you and your little ones the very best.

  Why don't parents of an abused child go straight to police, why go to an elder first??

  i hope i don't come across as judgemental but having read a lot on the current child abuse cases and the different threads on here, i am left wondering why on earth a parent of an abuse victim would go to an elder with the problem first and not straight to police?.

  as a parent myself i know that if anything like that happend to my child (this applies to when i was still an active jw as well as now) i would not hesitate in going to the authorities as soon as i found out, it wouldn't of crossed mine or my husbands mind to go to an elder.

  maybe after we had reported it but definitely never as the first port of call.

  Gregor, wow, what a bold pervert to go after Elders kids! Good for you for going to the authorities. The irony of YOU being the bad guy for reporting. How pathetic that JW's are taught that Jehovah is so weak that he has no ability to protect his all important name, so they shoot the messenger who dares mention something rotten in .Org land.

  my grandfather only had a third grade education and knew little about the bible when jws called on him.

  he was a different breed of jw than those of modern times.

  he truly cared about people and would give them the shirt off his back.
