Outlaw, LOL
When I was accused I answered, "The Bible says 'Do not put your trust in nobles or earthling man.' I don't anymore."
i'm looking for some clever comebacks.
i really don't care that i am an apostate, but would like to deliver a quick comeback or two to perhaps make the other person think.
any suggestions most welcome.

i have read the site with great interest over the last few weeks.
some interesting stuff thats for sure.. i have left the jehovah's witnesses (was almost going to say the 'truth') for some time now.
i was one of the lucky ones that was baptised then faded, no humiliating disfellowshipping but nonetheless was very hard to get myself out.
Welcome! I like your user name. When I was very young WTBT$ regularly accused Christendom of "watering down" the Truth from the Bible and bragged they did not and never would. Hahaha!
there are many things wrong with the world, many injustices and crimes committed.
what if we could stop one of them?
wouldn't it make the world a slightly better place?
@Sir Talon and the rest of the typing police,
There is no emoticon on this site for tearing my hair out !!!!!! For nearly 6 decades WT made the rules for me so now that I can exercise free will I feel rebellious?????!!!!! (I'll type the way I please, youse guy'es don't have to read it) Actually, It's because Armageddon was soooo close I never learned to properly type so cut us SOME slack.......................

Uh oh!
I'm not only an old fartess but a rotten typist as well. Puleeeese forgive.
some quick updates, mostly cosmetic:.
the message sending form should display better feedback of why a message is invalid (which will prevent the send button becoming active).. if your status is telling you that you have unread messages then you should see an option in the 'inbox' page to reset the count / mark all messages read.
just press it once, be patient - marking the actual messages is done in the background.. the topic and post counts are being updated - some will still be incorrect while it processes the data but after that should be correct.
Thanks Simon, My unread messages problem is now fixed!
im not an attorney and i could not record the hearing, so please forgive me if i make mistakes in relating what i remember of the oral argument hearing for jane doe (i.e., candace conti) versus the watchtower bible & tract society on january 14, 2015 and the length of this post.. i arrived at the civic center/union plaza in san francisco, ca about 7:30. the area is very nice with a few homeless people sleeping in the park across from the courthouse.
it took me about 10 minutes to find the clerks office for the court on the first floor, which opened at 8:00.. once the clerks office opened, the two clerks who i talked with were very polite and helpful.
the arguments for jane doe (i.e., candace conti) versus the watchtower bible & tract society were scheduled 5th out of (i think) 8. while i was in the office a cameraman and another person for nbc arrived asking about the hearing for candace contis case.. the courtroom for the 1st appellate court is on the 4th floor and takes up most of that floor.
i've been reading many of the postings on this forum for a couplefew years, finally joined today.
i think reading cappytan, and others like that, compelled me to share, it seems i might have a bit of a different outcome than many i have read, perhaps it will be hopeful/helpful to someone.. i was a born-in, 3rd gen jw, my entire family (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and most all of my childhood friends) were in.
some dropped by the wayside as the years went on, but many stayed in, and if they didn't, they still acted/talked as if they believed it was "the truth" and it was their weaknesses/failings that made them stop attending.
despite 2005 being a very popular year for vacuums vacuuming is now very unpopular with 0 mentions- an all time low.. awake magazine:.

first i want to say that i really appreciate this forum.
most other places i've seen are nothing but filled with spite and hate.
this site is reasonable and supportive...thank you for that!.
Welcome Gone, Wow, we have quite a lot in common. My first husband of 30 years was very much like yours except he successfully hid most of his immoral/illegal behavior from me until the end. I am so sorry the stress of your life took its toll on your health. Now it's time to pamper yourself and stay well. You have earned it! PM me anytime if you like.
im still in and i cant help but feel nervous as more and more changes are coming forward.
i cant help but feel that they are starting to get more hardcore again.
let me explain.
