I was friendly outgoing and loving when I was in and I am still the same. The difference is that most of the people I loved when I was in did not love me back. I sensed it then and it is obvious now. Time to make new friends!

EX JW teen just signs with legendary producer!!!!!
by Lady Liberty indear friends,.
it has been a long time since i have posted.
time heals much pain, and finally, my family and i have been able to move on with our life outside of jw land.. many of you became our friends, our support system, and you know very well our exit story...we were labeled, slandered and disfellowshipped for having questions regarding the date 607. we sent out letters exposing the elders and circuit overseer to over 200 families.

What's The Worst Thing You've Heard An Elder Say Or Do?
by minimus ini think it has to be the way they treat disfellowshipped persons.
as another thread, they simply ignore the person as if they're dead!.

Juan, my overseer father obeyed those beat the devil out of your children talks. I still cringe when I think about those SOBs admonishing child abuse.

Birthday
by lostinthought inso today is my birthday.
one of my "worldy" friends invited me over his house cause he thought being alone on my birthday was horrible.
we all had ice cream sunday's and we played words with friends, nothing extravagant but a way to recognize that i was born today.

Were You In A Constant State Of Worry As A Witness?
by minimus inlooking back, did you find yourself always worried about what was going to happen to you if you made a mistake or you even exercised your own "bible trained conscience"?.

Not until my children were born. Then I boarded the worry train. The father of my kids was acting more and more "worldly". I became a nervous wreak that their salvation rested solely on MY shoulders. I worried about setting the "proper" example at all times. Worried about entertainment, recreation, association, etc. Worried if we missed a meeting or FS. The more strict I became ,(thinking I was saving the kids) the wilder their father became. This, in turn, made me WORRY MORE because in my mind the WORST associate for my kids was their own father. You can imagine how miserable the situation became- all because of a false belief that a supposedly loving God would kill my children because of their parents errors and omissions!

Iv'e been in book studies where we stayed and talked till late. Been in bookstudies where we watched TV. My favorite was the one where we brought wine and beer and had a party afterward. That was squashed by someone who complained. (probably wished they were with us!) However, the vast majority of the book studies I was in were dull and people left quickly. Many times I was assigned to the KH. NEVER any fun there!

Stopthetears, you are "evidently" thinking of Tina Turner. Whitney Huston was only 48. FAR too young to die.
