The Book of Mormon has been a hit on Broadway. Why not do the same with Watchtower? This guy could play the lead. I want to play the mean bi**h in the laundry! LOL -

What Road Would You Choose---IF?
by John Aquila insay you could go back in time to when you were 15 years old.
no watchtower in your life.
but the experience you have now you could keep.

J A, "That's a scary thought."
It is a little scary but it keeps me from resenting my parents or the religion more than I already do. I'm sure there are countless born in's whose parents would have never met but for a JW convention. All we can do is be glad we are alive, be glad we know ttatt and make the best out of our situations.

My parents met at a DC. They lived far from each other and had absolutely NOTHING in common except for the "truth". Without the JW religion I wouldn't exist.
In a better world my mother would have divorced my abusive alcoholic father when I was a baby and left the religion. Then, even though she was a narcissistic drug addict, I would have been spared much of my childhood trauma.
I would have never met my first husband who I was pressured into marrying at 17. I loved musical theater and fashion but was also very interested in business law and public speaking (a form of acting lol). Who knows what would have happened??
The only good things that came out of my being a Dub were my children. The best thing is that my surviving daughter did go to college, did have a fashion career, and now is a successful publicist living a life better than I ever dreamed of. :)

Years ago I found myself in the midst of a bitter divorce with 2 teenage children who were shattered and acting out. On top of that my closest relative was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and we literally watched him die in only 4 months.
I couldn't afford my previous house so we moved and changed congregations. My problems and I were NOT welcome in my new hall. The sisters particularly made that abundantly clear. However, my book study conductor was very kind.
One day after I had mentioned things were financially tight at that time, I came home to find two large bags of groceries on my doorstep. I called my book study conductor and found out he was the one who left the food. He was the one who showed me special kindness and the rest of the fruits of the spirit like I had not seen before-especially in an elder.
About a year later we got married. About 10 years and one hell of a wild ride later we left the congregation and faded out completely.
He still buys me groceries. Hehe

Is it necessary to prepare for the Watchtower or book study?
by BashfulAshG inall of my years in the truth, i never understood why we had to study before each meeting.
the contents are self-explanatory with the answers to the printed question within the first or the last sentence of the paragraph.
then, commenting never made sense, especially comments and experiences that don't answer the printed question.

10 years and Satan finally struck....
by snare&racket ini left around a decade ago, life has not been easy, but it has been profoundly better than the jw robotics my earlier life chapters resembled.. my current life was going so well, too well...... and finally the nemesis of jahooha came out from his dark hiding place.
no longer in gods tent i was as vulnerable as the chinese job and his unfortunate sheep and children.. satan, bless his socks of cotton, has finally attacked, he broke my leg the dark lordy bastard.. a spiral fracture of the fibula and various fractures the ankle joint.. the worst of all his evil doings was the story i have to tell people, it's 'mechanism of injury'..... i slipped on some grass.
yes the devilish ball rash, got me good.. so now, i sit bored, wishing i had meetings to prepare for, talks to write and i long for the live bombing i would have received as an interesting new kingdom hall event in the decades of waiting on jahooha..... but all i have is some lame ass, american apostates on a forum..... tchhhh.... .

I'm sorry that Satan had his way with you, Snare, but you've got to come up with a better story. If you are going to give Satan credit for your accident don't insult him with "I slipped on the grass." Come up with something exciting.
How about you were skydiving when your parachute failed to open all the way. A tree broke your fall and so you came out of it with only a fractured leg. There, that's better.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Has anyone had a jw hack into their email/tablet/phone etc to spy?
by purrpurr ini note stillin has had a recent problem with this.
i also know of two cases were an elder went through a brothers phone to get dirt on him.
and another were a sisters email was hacked into to get dirt on her.. in both cases apparently it was for their spiritual protection (!

Boeing, Bullies don't pick on the strong or the protected. Your wife is relatively safe with you as her shield as long as she doesn't flaunt anything the elders view as "unacceptable".
