Question: "What's the longest you've ever stood in line?"
Answer: The line to the women's restroom at the 1958 District Convention held in NYC. The peak attendance was 253,922. Not NEAR enough bathrooms for the over-crowded conditions. At 6 years old I thought I was going to wet my pants! I still remember desperately holding my mothers' hand because I was terrified I would be lost in the massive crowd.
Actually any super large DC had ridiculously long lines. Especially in the '50s and '60s.
