  i did find this little news-item, and i thought it to be so interesting i will post it here.

  on another thread, i was struck with a thought.

  someone mentioned how brainwashed the r&f were to accept the drivel pumped out of bethel and it suddenly dawned on me that the 'tower and the awake!

  and all the other literature are irrelevant.

  Kingdom Hall Apartments Must be Vacated!

  just wondering if anyone heard about the letter that was sent out to all congregations whose kh have an apartment attached to it.

  the edict from bethel was that these apartments were to be vacated a.s.a.p.

  the reason: so retiring do's & co's with no place to go could occupy them.

  this is indeed the process to become less "business like" in the eyes of the government..a brother who works at bethel in the 'higher up' dept. told me about this a while back.

  kampala: - sixty four students of st. katherine girls school in lira have been suspended for planning a violent strike, reports james oloch....she said five girls who belonged to jehovah witness were to buy the petrol to be used to burn the school.. .

  Terrible News, Fair Steam Engine Explodes

  we just heard on the local news that an antique steam engine exploded at the medina county fairgrounds some 12 miles from here.

  the fair opens tomorrow and everyone was getting stuff ready when the explosion happened.

  four people are dead and some 49 injured at last count.

  the watchtower and awake help keep us focused on Jehovahs kingdom. and help us better understand scritptures that I am to lazy to look up myself.

  District Convention Parking Arrangements???

  at the long beach, ca dc this last week, the parking spaces were severely decreased from previous years.

  a full 45 minutes prior to the start of the saturday program, the parking lot attendants were turning cars away because the lot was full!

  many, many cars that came in just after ours did were turned away!

  I was told that the parking tickets were to be returned at the end of the convention. Anyone know anything about that or the reason for tickets being returned?
