  DF/DA people reinstated?

  does anybody have a fairly accurate number of those that are dfed or daed, that have been reinstated?

  i'm just curious as to how many that leave actually go back.

  i was always led to believe from my parents that i was one of [italics]the few[/italics] that hasn't come back.

  did being in the org really screw up your idea of what dating is.. i gues you would have to had "courted" in the org to answer this question.. the orgs idea of dating is in a sense to get married.. while outside.... marriage isnt even thought of for a looooong while.. my question is because i dont know if a girl is .

  being casual or brushing me off : )

  If you really want to find out how a girl feels about you, try stalking her for several weeks. If she breaks up with you, stalk her for an even longer period of time

  aaah..yes the "i can make you love me approach"....i have tried that with my return visits.....as most dubs have..never resulted in a bible study..I may try a different tactic with my dates

  Origin of Halloween?

  i remember hearing a "story" or "myth" or whatever you want to call it when i was younger in regards to the origin of halloween.

  the way the story goes is this:.

  a few angels fall from heaven and form human bodies for themselves.. they take human wives.. then they have their children, "the nephilim".. these nephilim are killed in the flood.. when the angels leave their human bodies they mourn their dead children.. the night that they mourn these children is later known as all hallows eve or the night the demons mourn thier dead.. has anyone else here ever heard this story?

  Disfellowshipped Counted?

  my brother was just here and of course since we are both disfellowshipped we have nothing better to talk about than jw bs.

  so as he understands it those of us that are disfellowshipped are still counted as jw's by the society.

  on one hand i could understand the math.

  df'd people are indeed counted at the meetings and conventions...

  and so are df's counted if they partake...I am not kidding..so if all of you wanted to screw things up for the society..go and partake......

  not baiting you.. how do you view people like you know and friday who clearly do not show a loving approach towards presenting the pro-jw case in any arguments?.

  Everybody is entitled to their opinions.

  How do you feel about disfellowshipping and shunning? Do you really believe it is useful in rehabilitating people? Do you really believe the practice keeps the congregation clean

  I believe it can be very useful. However the extent to which some JW's take this is often times to far. If you have family memeber who are df'd, you must maintain a reasonable relationship with them.
  How can it not keep it clean? By removing an unrepentant sinner, you are no longer subject to his ways and opinions which may be contrary to Bible standards. [/quote]

  if you are df'd you are not counted..the numbers are "active kingdom publishers"....take a look at the service year tally...you will see an increase in baptism, but due to people leaving there is no increase...if we counted everyone who left we would be somewhere around 10 billion.

  i think you and your brother need to get out of Idaho.

  maybe ask her what happens, casual-like, "hey what happened last night? you get kicked offline?" does that happen a lot? how long you been talking? how often? lol, you don't have to answer any of these ?'s but just curious...

  of course i will answer...you are willing to help : ).....most ...well actually all of our (im )conversations happen while we are at work...we have been chatting for about 2 weeks..after a week of chatting we went out for some drinks....she said the next time we im'd that she had a great time........do you think i am obsessing?? i am usually the first to initiate im's.am i the supposed to be the first to bring up a next date??...damn that young people ask book....would it be weird if i asked "do you want to continue this?" after only one date..i mean like i said i dont want to sound psycho
