Opportunity to show all what JW are made of...
by LDH ini am currently enjoying cruising around on the internet in chat rooms.. i'm enjoying posting that the jw who could have sent in people and organized volunteers have locked their doors and tightened their security.. perhaps instead of bitching and moaning on this board, we should use our time letting total strangers know jus how unchristian the christian congregation of jehovah's witnesses are.. well?

by joelbear ini think it all comes down to the price you pay for having more materially than others.. i think, in the end, those people are pissed off because we live so much better in this country than they do in theirs.
it is to their leaders advantage to blame the u.s. for their bad lot in life.
if they didn't, the people would start examining the enormously rich ruling class of basically every middle eastern country who just allow their people to subsist or starve to death.. clever tactic using the opiate of the people and promises of paradise to get people to do the unthinkable.. it has always been thus.. hugs.

WTC Charity: A Blown Opportunity by WTS
by Room 215 inapart from the noble imperatives of christian charity, the society's rather tepid response to the need for emergency assistance in the aftermath of the wtc tragedy across the harbor illustrates how calcified the thinking of their leadsership has become.. i know, they've accepted a few overnight jw guests and accommodated some others, but when measured against the magnitude of their resources, these meager photo-op and pr-op gestures are tiny.. by failing to sieze the moment, they blew a priceless opportunity to cut a a firebreak across what they must know will be a maelstrom of publice outrage and criticism when the dateline story runs.

JWs are secretly eating this tragedy up because they percieve it somehow validates their "last days" world view. They don't give a rat's ass about thousands of sons daughters mothers and fathers dying horribly, they are just worldly people; oh but praise WTBTS-Jehovah that three JWs lived, let's get some refreshments.
there may be a few prick who do it, just like there are a few

At least after this...
by ballistic inlast week there was a fred (sorry thread) about the fact the world may be heading into recession and maybe it could be a sign of the end.
i remember getting quite shitty about it, not only because i was fed up with people pointing at quirks in stock values and shouting "armaggedon", but also because jehovah's witnesses (who have a bigger following in america) only take note of events on their own door step, when in reality there are wars and suffering and many different financial situations around the globe.. well lets just hope that at least after this, they wont keep on about fluctuations on the stock market being a sign of the end.

in my old spanish cong back home.. going to bars was frowned upon,
here in ny and my friends in cali go to bars all the time. In WA state they are aware of this, frankly they dont care, but they also understand the enviroment and the fact that some may be stumbeled.
