Thanks so much 4 this post...as a jw child who just recently finished my Bachelor's degree while living with JW parent who opposed.....i just want to tell all the other youth who want out to know that it is possible to leave! I cant emphasise it enough to NEVER GET BAPTISED! It is how they exercise power over you and they use it to make you feel guilty and extremely imperfect. You have to build a team of support outside the JW compound in order to survive. Be highly selective with who you share you desire to leave with, even other youths will try to railroad you and report u because they seek prominance in the Org. Im at the phase before the grand exit....let me tell you tell you the feeling of dying on the inside is an understatement. It feels worse, everything associated with the WTBTS is a lost cause and dead to you. Yet you cant speak a word against it. Hang in there...as the saying goes......fail to plan....and you will plan to fail.

How to make your exit with minimal pain while still living at home with your parents
by sseveninches inas requested, i've made a new thread with the info i posted on a previous thread.
this is intended for young jws who have woken up from their anesthesia but still cannot move, or in other words, have learned ttatt but are still living with parents and are afraid of getting kicked out if they make their opinions/findings known.
i am included in this group of people, because i myself still live at home with parents.

This entire article is garbage! A few years ago the toes meant something, now they are completely insignificant! i know for a fact, through personal confidences.
that means, as far as my circle of jovo friends/acquaintances goes, 2% of them are kiddy fiddlers.. without mentioning names or details, how many do you know of for a certainty to be pedos, and what percentage does it work out at, considering all your circle of jovo friends?.

I know of one personally. He got caught and has been sentanced to prison for abusing minor children. I always thought the behavior of his own children was wierd as I was a child growing up , they didnt act normally, now I know why.

Variance On College
by metatron inthere seem to be some more upscale congregations in which the college thing is no big deal as long as the witness kids live at home and at least pretend to be witnesses.
this includes bachelors degrees in tech subjects, not just 2 years of nursing.. there might be some realization that, in rich areas, congegations aren't viable without education.. metatron .

They claim that they have "rules" on attending college but its a total lie.
I used to go to a cong. that was in an affluent part of the town...all the college aged kids were actively persuing a college degree including myself. One elder was a doctor, and a handfull of others had Bachelors or Masters degrees. We've since moved to a congregation where most people are 42 y/o or older and the total attitude toward college is extremely to the left. They still believe you can make a living in a metropolitian city on a trade school job. There is a stark difference in location and attitude towards education.
Im glad people are getting college educated....less money for the WT!
They deserve it, you dont see the C.O. visiting congregations and paying past due mortages, light bills, and medical expenses of "faithfull servants" do you? No they are the main ones receiving green handshakes from struggling bible thumpers! Meanwhile the WT has a surplus of money numbering in the hundreds of millions....SMH
They could never get me to buy into just getting a trade......I wanna eat steak and shrimp every night! Advanced degree=Me!

I thought the guitar in the wheel barrel was hilarious first because the son of a brother at the hall plays drums for his high school and the oldest sister couldnt wait to comment and point out that extracurricular activities "like playing the drums" was extra weight....I bet his son wanted to run out of the room. Secondly, since the JW's are forced to stay away from the internet, and NOT watch television.....some learn how to play instruments to stay somewhat sane.....if instruments are the devil what shall happen next? My story began when my father was taken under by the JW's after a nasty split with my DFmum.....you know the old brotherhood...new family....went straight to his head.
No time passed until a poor as dirt sister with 2 kids came to my fathers rescue and became the ready made step mom from you know where.
I wasnt born in....but have been around it since childhood....was put under intense pressure by the BOE @ my local cong and my parents to get dipped before 18......worst mistake of my life....what could I have possibly known about the symbolism and alternative meanings of biblical text......all I liked was the group outings and "association".
Little did I know that all 3 of my siblings didnt agree with the "Truth". Secretely they kept quiet to not be labeled and outcasted. I had dreams of college after H.S. nothing in this world was going to stop me from going......successfully im in my fourth year and completing soon. College brought on going through the motions to keep my father at bay. I am under the impression that my father cant serve at his cong due to me being a full time student, in an attempt to please them he withdrew his support ($) only contributing what was necessary. Thanks to all that bible dicipline I received a full scholarship for every year....I dont need his money.
What has pushed me to this point was my last attendance at a assembly where they announced new light (I was awake for this part) LOL....they slyly took something that they stated as fact and totally changed it to something new.....and then called it new light.... led me to question "divine inspiration", consistency in doctrine....so on and so forth.
Im pretty open to discussion, I havent lost faith in god...just organized religion.
