  while everyone has been bickering back and forth, i decided to do something positive to move forward.

  as most of you know back in jan our family marked us as apostates and started shunning us.. so i wrote to all of my congress-people and told them what is going on with the jw's.

  i told them how they are breaking up families, teaching the children intolerance, etc.

  imagine if you will a newly elected president of the united states taking office.

  MIL letter to my wife

  background: my wife and i are inactive, we stopped attending in 2005. raised as jws, were pioneers, i was elder etc... .

  our kids are in college, also inactive but are baptised.

  my wife went back to college, getting her degree this month at age 48!

  My response, if any at all:

  Mom, Dad, please do not call me, write me, or email me, unless you can do it with respect. PERIOD. Obviously she was jeleious that her grandson favored his DF uncle over her.... TOUGH. Get used to it. You and your wife need to stick close together with people like this.

  "there is a 14 percent greater probability that a person over 60 years of age will die on his birthday rather than on other days.".

  wow, they have now proven that birthdays are pagan and not fit for christians!.

  Yep, just as you said Raypub. Totally unbelievable!!!! Love how they write so alarmingly only to end the short paragraph that "human errors may account for many matching birth and death dates.

  It is EXACTLY this kind of writing that I was able to pick out at age 9 and shake my head at. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WRITERS AND THE PEOPLE WHO READ AND RELY ON THIS CRAP!

  my wife and i were discussing this and thought of a few examples of words that the wt society changes meanings on in order to accomplish their own self serving agenda .

  the term - generation - definition in webster's new world dictionary : " generation - a single stage or degree in the succession of natural descent ( father, son, and grandson are three generations ) .

  the average period ( about thirty years ) between the birth of one generation and that of the next .

  Oh I do hope this one has not been mentioned yet!

  TIME

  "Don't forget about your time!" we would hear on the last Thursdays of the month. Time?! What time! Oh the time I spent wasting in this damn chair? All the quality time for my children I gave up to study, prepare speaches (talk, is another one), assemblies, study, getting dressed and ready for meetings 3 times a week, did I mention study yet? special meetings, pioneer school, elders meetings, judicial meetings, and if there is time left over study! Sheezesh!

  Oh but no, they want the a different kind of TIME. They treat this TIME like it was gold nuggets to count or grams to weigh, they use it as currency. Currency for what? The more TIME you can count = ???????

  The word "worship". To JWs worship means putting in time or sitting for hours on end answering questions by rote. Worship means giving of your honor and devotion. The JWs do worship the GB and the rags they print.....but they have no idea what real worship is.

  Hey, I wonder if they will allow the rank and file to have the initials GB around their neck. They are not too far from that idea now.
